This isn't his MCT oil, which I'm sure is spectacularly better, but I'll use the Pareto principle (80-20 Rule) and settle for a much less expensive version for a slightly lowered benefit. Perhaps I'll upgrade when I'm more of a genius and fabulously wealthy... ;)So, I put this in my morning protein smoothie, which I make cold with pre-brewed coffee that is chilled...Wait, what is MCT Oil? Medium Chain Triglyceride Oil. Basically, it is specially refined coconut oil, where they isolate only the MCT portion of the oil. I'll let you look up why medium chain triglycerides are fantastic. But they ARE fantastic! Worth the read.So what does it do? Dave would say it is brain- fuel. Since our brains are made up mostly of fat, our brain naturally wants (healthy) fats for food. And MCT is some of the best possible oil/fat for that purpose. Plus, MCT has a benefit of being self-preserving, unlike many oils which go rancid (or oxidize) rapidly. Rancid oils are actually sort of toxic, in that they start to have damaging effects instead of beneficial ones. Kind of like the difference between eating a nice juicy steak...or 3 day old roadkill. And yes, I think that's an accurate analogy.How did it work for me? Well, true enough, with the coffee and protein, I do have clear-headed mornings, and I feel energized (provided I get enough sleep the night before!). I have noticed that I don't seem to be hungry as early, and I attribute that to the "full" or satiation effect of the oil. Fats satisfy our hunger needs, because they are valuable to the body. (Even bad fats satisfy, but it's not good for us).Will I buy this again? Absolutely. Probably have a bottle of this in my pantry forever now. And I also have virgin organic cold-pressed (I think) coconut oil as well, which I use for cooking, eating (straight), and use on my skin. MCT Oil is for eating (drinking) in my smoothie, as brain fuel.I've never used Viva Labs before, but happy with them, and will be alert if they have other products I want. The bottle is high quality, and the cap stays tightly closed. Very pleased overall, everything is positive. Glad I chose them for this, and glad this does what I got it for!Taste is faint, not very strong anything. Texture is like a thin mineral oil (viscosity if you want to be technical).As a side note, if I needed a lubricant for the bedroom, I would grab this before the unrefined coconut oil. Not sure how it works with condoms, have not used this with them, so if you are relying on them and this, do your homework on compatibility...might eat some kinds or others.

Bought it cause it cough my attention ADD TO COFFEE, yes it has no taste. I started using MCT cause I saw how it really helped my 89 year old Dad. Of course we need to make smart diet choices too. I’m 60 years young, and educated myself on all benefits and facts about coconut oil.

Item received sealed and packaged appropriately. The bottle had no leaks. I use this daily in my coffee and appreciate that there is no aftertaste. I do think it is quite pricey compared to others.

So, first things first, this MCT oil is wonderful! Gives me energy, keeps me alert, keeps me feeling happier and focused throughout the day! Plus, the price is phenomenal for a bottle of this size!The only thing I hate about this, is the plastic spout. I get it, it's supposed to help with spillage and whatnot, but it's doing the exact opposite.This is what I went through for the first week: I tried to squeeze the bottle gently to get some out, but it wouldn't budge. So I applied a tad more pressure, and all of a sudden, SPLAT! That one shot comes out like a bat out of hell, and none on my tablespoon! On my countertop yes, but not my tablespoon! So I'd get annoyed, clean it up, and silently curse the spout to hell. I tried different amounts of pressure, tried to make the hole in the spout bigger, so I wouldn't have to squeeze it so hard to get some out, but nothing I did worked, it still shot out!So now, I have to take the lid off to pour it in my tablespoon. And of course, it's still messy, and I'm always wiping off the bottle, but at least it's not a surprise explosion like with the lid on, lol.But at the end of the day, it's all worth it to me as someone who highly values her MCT oil.I'd still recommend to anyone, mess and all!
