amika the shield anti-humidity spray

Another one of my favorite Amika products. You can use it on wet hair or at the end of styling your hair. It gives a touch of volume and holds and seals the hair very natural, it is not too strong. It helps with humidity and frizz and has a nice smell, like all amika products.

This product has been a game changer for my hair! In the summer my hair is prone to frizz anytime there’s the slightest bit of humidity in the air. I had stopped trying to straighten my hair in the summer months due to it immediately beginning to poof as soon as I walked outside. Since I have been using this my hair style stays exactly how I want it and it keeps the frizz at bay! The spray smells wonderful and also makes your hair feel so soft! If you haven’t bought it yet you’re missing out!

Loved the product... when it actually dispenses from the can. Have ended up with a can that the nozzle does not work well most of the time. When I have been able to get product out of the can, I really like product in my hair! Seems to be good heat protection, humidity protection, and does not weigh my hair down.

I have short hair, so a can of this stuff lasts a long time, especially if I only use it on humid or rainy days. It smells really good. I usually let my hair dry naturally before styling it with a blow dryer and curling/flat iron. But before I style it, I spray some of this on. You should shake the can before spraying it and when finished, replace the cap on the can. If you do not replace the cap, the sprayer will eventually clog up and won't work. If this happens, run some hot water over the hole in the sprayer part. It may take 2 or 3 tries, but I have found that it will work again if you do this. And it might be a good idea to wipe the spray hole with alcohol or warm water to keep it clear, just in case. Nothing more infuriating than to spend over $20 on a spray can of something and then it stop working way before the product is used up.

we have bought this product in the past and all was good. this latest subscribed order does not come out as a spray mist like the previous purchases, it comes out as a foam. It is not useable in this manner. Unfortunately by the time my wife's previous shipment ran out and she went to use this one the return window had expired by 2 weeks. I cant seem to contact the seller to see if something can be done, like a replacement. She enjoys this product and the previous purchases where fine my advise is to test it as soon as it arrives while the return window is still open.

The smell is amazing and when the spray nozzle works, the product is 100%. However, as others have noted, the spray nozzle is whack! It worked the first few times I used it, but about halfway through the can, it stopped working and is very hit or mis(t) (hope someone enjoys that)!

Update: I’ve now been using this stuff religiously for months. That includes 2 additional outdoor summer-month concerts and a beach vacation. This stuff still works like a dream. I’m a customer for life (or until they change the formula and it stops working)!Hey you. Yes, you. I see you there, eyeing this product on Amazon, but you’re hesitant to take a chance on it. That’s probably because, like me, you’ve been hurt before by products that promised to keep your hair sleek and frizz-free, only to look like a puffy poodle by the time you walk into the office. No leave-in treatment, cream, or humidity-fighting spray has worked for you yet, so why should you believe this one will?Truth be told, I have no idea how this spray works its magic - I just know it does. Spray it on damp hair and blow it dry, or spray it on dry hair and flat iron it, and - voila! - you’re good to go. The first weekend after I got this, I went to a 2-day outdoor music festival in July. My hair stayed frizz-free and looked as good at the end of the day as it did at the start. I’ve used it daily since then and it has never disappointed.Long story short, if you’re considering this product, get it. This has changed how I feel about doing my hair in the summer.
