Great for those who overheat easily!
I have POTS and EDS and both conditions cause me to overheat VERY easily. I don’t sweat so I need to find other ways to cool down. I’ve gone through many different brands of towels. I think this may be my favorite so far! They didn’t soak through the shirt I was wearing which was awesome. They need more water added after about 10-15 minutes for optimum effectiveness but that’s to be expected.Honestly, when I first took them out of the packaged and realized they just felt sort of like pinny material I thought they were going to be garbage. But they were great! And they’re very affordable! If you’re taking these on the go to somewhere you won’t have access to water to refresh’s them, here’s what I do:Get a leakproof bag, put some water and a lunchbox type ice pack in the bag and put the towels in there. Wring the towel out before removing it from the bag and then dip it back in the bag when it needs to be refreshed.

Perfect for summer/outdoor jobs!
I was a little skeptical at first when purchasing these cooling towels. I thought to myself "How much different could these be than just a regular hand towel around the neck for keeping cool?" The answer is, pleasantly different! These are made of a mesh like fabric, with one side being in color and the other side being black. They don't feel rough or too heavy when draped around my neck or tied like a bandanna around my head. The The mesh fabric leads to faster water evaporation which cools the skin quickly and effectively. I work in a warehouse and so far these have been a life saver! The only issue I had is that they don't come with any instructions, but they're super simple.1. Run the towel under cold water in your sink.2. Wring out the water.3. Give it a couple good shakes to snap out leftover loose water drops.4. Wear it!

I live in Florida
I read the review doubting that these towels would be sufficient in a humid area. I can't think of too many places more humid than Florida. I love these towels. I am a 64-year old female, retired, and walk each morning for 45 minutes at a brisk pace while carrying 4 lb. weights in each hand. I was having trouble with heat rash, so I bought these towels to help keep me cool. They work fantastic for my morning walk. If I was to jog in full sun, they would most likely dry out sooner, but they work very well for my walking needs. If you have any doubts, at the price asked for the towels, I would suggest you give them a try. I think you will love them as much as I do.

Good for some cooling uses
Like the many products in this category, the idea is to provide a material that will allow evaporation to cool you. So, you soak it with water, wring it so it isn't dripping, then use it however you think is best. While the provide a definite cooling effect, one should know that it's ability to cool depends highly on the ambient humidity. If you live where it's often hot and humid, I doubt these will do you a bit of good. If you live in the drier parts of the country, they definitely help. Wet it, wring it, and plop it on top of your head or drape it around your neck for some relief. That said, for those in drier climates, like us, experimentation has showed us that a buff works better, because the tubular shape of the buff provides for a lot more versatile use. Nonetheless, these are useful to throw in the glove compartment or a pack, and will work as advertised.

Cooling, absorbant and cutting back on laundry
My husband goes through towels, he is a sweater during workouts so I was hoping to find something that works better for him and also didn't fill up the laundry basket. He has used conventional towels in the past, they work ok without that cooling effect though, but they create a lot of laundry. This was the perfect solution! These towels are small and lightweight, he wraps them around this neck and shoulders and they are plenty big enough for that. They take up NO room to store, and they work better than a conventional towel as they are strangely absorbent. I would not have expected these to work nearly we well as they do but they abosialtely do

Perfect for Airsoft and Softball.
I purchased these Biange blue and grey cooling towels in a variety pack as gifts to those who attended my grandsons Airsoft birthday party.I figured with all the running around they would get hot. Sure glad I did, all the boys and men loved them. They were so happy when they were told they were theirs to keep! The "snapping" effect to get colder without adding more water does work, very well. They wash up good in the washer and I left to just hang dry, not put in dryer.I gave one to my granddaughter who plays softball and she loves it! It's long enough and light weight enough to wrap around your head or neck and wear it also. (Not bulky or huge like frog togs). And not just use as a towel to wipe and cool off.The only thing that would make them perfect is if they came in a small recloseable bag to store when not in use. And to take with you already wet.Other than that, these were perfect and loved by all who has used them in extreme heat!

These are lightweight and really do cool you off!
It gets pretty hot here in the summer months. My husband is ways working on something in the yard or garage. There is no way to keep those areas cool so I thought I wod order his a 4pk of these cooling towels as rhe next best option. They are the perfect size to drap over your shoulders or head to keep the scorching heat off your body. They are lightweight and absorb quite a bit. In the morning I usually get one of the towels wet and then stick it in the fridge till he is ready for it. It stays cool for a litle while. Once one geta warm I sqitch it out for another one. They are smaller so they are easy to wash and go right in my machine washer im dryer with no issues.

Works!
Been walking at lunch with coworkers so this item helps keep me cooled off in 90+ degree heat. Add water, wring it out, and wrap around neck or forehead. It seriously does help! Started using it when mowing and doing yeardwork too when heat is bad. Is not a "sweat towel" per se although if I don't wet it for cooling - I do use it as a sweat towel for my face when I walk. Prefer it wet tho (I walk with a bottle of water and pour some on it to keep it wet to cool me off).

not what I expected.
Last year I bought a couple of cooling towels and they were a godsend and a life-saver.. They were made of almost like a shammy leather-type material which is hard when dry but soft and cool when wet and keeps you cool for hours.. This year I bought these but they are absolutely not the same or able to keep you cool or holding much water with which to do this. These are like a micro-thin cloth on one side with like a patterned other side shiny like teflon. Possibly useful as a rather interesting silk-like scarf or a drape but REALLY NO GOOD at holding water or keeping you cool. Will now have to try and find the ones I bought last year which were amazing and keep you cool maybe 4 hours in the sun.

A wet tee-shirt works just as well an you can still look like an angry pirate with a beer
Well what to say, mmmmm they are small, they are colourful, do they work well i've had it wrapped around my head for the last 15 minutes and look like rambo...can't really say it anymore cooling than wrapping a wet/damp tee-shirt wrapped around your head. No instruction included, only 1 waterproof bag for 3 mini towels, would have been a better idea 1 bag 1 towel so you could pre wet and carry with you. Now would i buy again 12 quid for 6 brightly coloured mini towel probably not, i'd get half a dozen cold beers and soak a tee-shirt and wrap that around my head.... not the seller problem but i'd probably go for a renowned make like froggs toggs next time.

Good as a light-duty sports towel
Brought as a gym/running towel. The material is very thin, but quick drying (think running shirt style). Towels themselves are not particularly absorbent so not suitable for drying hair etc. Not used them for cooling.Towels haven't stretched when tied round my belt, have kept the colour through a couple of hot washes and are lightweight.Overall good as a light-duty sports towel.

Not absorbant at all
As far as gym towels go these don't work for me. As cloths go they're not bad quality, but they're not absorbant at all, which I would expect for a towel. Colours are good, wash well and dry quickly, but very thin and just don't do the job in the gym.

Great way to stay cool.
These are brilliant. On holiday, in the garden or working these will keep you cool. So easy to use and stays cool for hours. Wouldn't be without mine on holiday. I wet them, put them in the fridge ready for the next day.
