A fine line
This fountain pen feels well balanced in your hand without being too heavy as some fountains could be. It takes cartridges, like the one supplied, and it can be fitted with a refillable ink cartridge/ dispenser. The nib is quite fine, writes smoothly and does not blot ink drops everywhere. It writes perfectlybeverytime I use it. Great for writing and drawing for line and wash. Best one I have ever tried.

Not waterproof ink
The pen writes well with a fine nib but beware the ink cartridge supplied is NOT waterproof , important to know if you're doing pen and wash work.

Not as good as the original
I have used the original Platinum desk pens to draw with for years. This new version is not a patch on the old: uncomfortable and not a joy to use. I have abandoned it.

Ink flow intermittent
Annoying that the ink flow is intermittent, not sure how to get a consistent flow, I end up unscrewing the back and squeezing the cartridge to get a few more seconds of drawing. It's quicker to use a dip pen and a bottle of ink. Will stick with it to see if it improves.

Not as good as the carbon fountain pen
I prefer the feel and hold of the carbon fountain pen. This one is more ‘plasticy! ‘Wouldn’t particularly buy it again however my buddy bought one and thinks it’s good!There you are!
