Great solution and good quality product
We have a wooden venetian blind and curtains at my son's bedroom window, but he was still waking up early due to the light coming in during the summer. We could not use a blackout roller blind because we already have a blind at the window and so I bought this. It works perfectly - not even a tiny amount of light gets through and his room is now pitch black. Its great quality: the sticky velcro has stuck hard and fast to the frame, and the material is good quality too. It was easy to put up. I leave it up all the time, and just lift up the bottom half of the blind, and attach it to my wooden blind (using the spare velcro provided) to let daylight in during the day. I will take it down again in the winter. Would highly recommend. (N.B. Make sure you buy one big enough to allow for a good few centremetres overlap onto the window frame on each edge, allowing for any extra fabric needed to go over handles).

Simple but brilliant!
This blackout blind is totally worth the money! My children's room has two large windows so I had to buy two size 3 kits. Each kit comes with a large velcro roll but we didn't even need to use the second kits roll as we were able to make the first do both by putting up short strips at the bottom of each window. I hadn't even realised when I bought it that the total genius of this blind is that the material itself is velcro compatible on one side, I had assumed velcro strips would have to be put on the blind itself but no, it simply sticks to the velcro on the window frame, so no annoying lining up of the two sides of velcro. It stays perfectly in place, even more impressive when we haven't even cut the material to size as we will be moving so want to leave the material as large as possible in case its needed at our next home. It hasn't budged and the room is completely blacked out. I would absolutely recommend. Brilliant!

Better than the competition...
Excellent stuff. These are very effective, they do block out all light if you take care to smooth down the material along the velcro areas. The velcro sticks to uPVC well. The only difficulty is getting the velcro straight on the window frame, not in a wavy line; but this just takes some care and forethought. The materials are of nice quality and should last well. When taking down the blind the velcro does not stick together too strongly so as to pull it off the uPVC as well.I have bought HIMRY Velcro tape, 25 Meter ( 25 meter Hook and 25 meter Loop ), 25 mm width, Sew on Hook & Loop Back Tape, self adhesive, KXB5009 White and tried using this on a different window with other black out blind material but it's rubbish - the tape comes down. So The easyblackout BLACKOUT blind kit is a much better, easier bet that the alternatives even if it's a bit more expensive.

Good
Not bad and they really do keep out the day light which I need for working on my laptop while working in the kitchen, have some left over now thinking of putting some up in my small window in my bedroom.

Very simple and VERY effective
Very simple but SO effective. We had been scouring the internet for a good blackout blind. So many custom blinds are supposedly blackout but light always seeps around the edges (and cost £150+). Not with this. We did as another reviewer recommended where you leave an extra few inches of material around the outside and this works extremely well.

Really does block the light
Brilliant product. It really does block out the light. Really easy to fit, all of 10 minutes to put up the tape and then adjust the blind fabric. I have just put up a top strip of tape and attached the fabric by just this one piece and it stays up fine. I have black out blind fabric curtains already in place in my children's rooms but during the summer months they are not sufficient to allow them to drift off to sleep at night time. I needed a quick fix for my 4 year old and thought I'd try these. Brilliant idea. The fabric has a slightly flocked backing with adheres really well to the hook and loop tape. I put my tape onto my painted wall rather than around the entire plastic frame. (we will be re plastering the bedroom walls soon so I doesn't matter if the tape damages the paintwork for us) This allows me to quickly pop up the curtain at night and carefully pull it away during the day. Would buy again and have recommended this product to others already.

Perfect for getting the little one into bed earlier on the light nights!
We were really struggling to get our daughter (2) into bed on the really light nights in the summer because her room was so light, even at 10pm. She has quite thin curtains so we first tried blackout linings which we a huge improvement but still let a lot of light into the room around the edges. So we bought this to try - AWESOME.The Velcro was really easy to apply to the window (haven't tried taking it off yet so I don't know whether it will be easy or not, but at this point I'm not concerned about that!). We didn't want to cut the material straight away and find we'd done it too small so for the moment we have just tacked it with pins until we're happy with the size. This was a little fiddly but didn't take more than 20 minutes. The results when we put the blind up were fantastic - the room was pitch black! It's not the prettiest blind but it doesn't matter because we still close the curtains as well so it can't be seen.I think it would be quite frustrating to put it up and take it down on a daily basis so I have put another app of Velcro on the upper window frame (pointing down) and I can then take the bottom of the blind in the morning, folks or over and stick it up so that it only covers half the window and light can get in. During the winter months I'll probably take the whole thing down as it won't be needed. All in all very pleased with the product - worth every penny
