Bought this as a back up storage device.Good sturdy construction. 500GB of storage which is perfect for my needs.Easy to plug in and use with a Mac.Comes with connecting cable (quite short) and instruction booklet.Had it up and running in seconds.Very pleased with this hard drive.Great value for money.

Portable, 500Gb, not ultra fast but value for money.
The Maxone 500Gb hard drive is good value for money, may not be the fastest kid on the block but this is my third of these hard drives over the past 12 months and they are all still going strong, I use them for backing up my laptop so it can be wiped clean every three months and refreshed to keep the speed as high as possible.Everything from documents to music is stored on these drives and they have not missed a beat so far, good value 500Gb hard drives are hard to find, just about to order another.

Purchased in January 24. Suddenly packed up in August. Judging by some of the reviews, it seems mine has lasted longer than most. Good job I kept everything on USB sticks. Drive not recognised or corrupt displayed by three Dell desktops. The best part of this 'heap' is the connecting cable. Don't waste your money. Couldn't give any lower than one star.

Perfect
I bought this for a backup drive for an older desktop computer. I needed something inexpensive, and I like this because it is a large capacity and doesn't need and external power supply/adapter. It is truly plug-and-play, it did not even need to be formatted. I am using in with Windows 10. It has a quality look and feel. The transfer rate seems to be fine but that's not an important factor for me. The included 12 inch cable is perfect for my situation. I might have purchased an SSD but to get a decent one it would have cost much more.
