Will using i micron instead of a 5 micron filter reduce my rate of flow and water pressure?

The rate of water flow and pressure will decline overtime with any water filter as the filter collection traps sediment and other impurities in the water but the larger Micron size will decline slower over time so to answer your question the rate of flow on a 1 Micron will decline faster than the rate of flow on a 5 micron. I use a 5 Micron and it lasts about a month. I am on well water not city water.
