Awesome price for the amount of traps you get
I've always used these but my purposes have changed. It works great for my inside grow tent as well! Not particularly a fan of the smell opening them but once they are up it doesn't produce enough even in the tent. Flies, knats, even smaller knats usually, not always, get stuck to this and kills them off. These work the best out of all the products I've used.

Works magically if used correctly
It worked magically at my house. I was wondering why there are quite a few one star reviews. After seeing their photos/videos, I realized the reasons. a. In stead of hanging it, they placed it on a table. No! It’s supposed to be hung. b. You can attach something (like a binder clip) at the bottom to keep it straight and flat, so that it can accommodate more flies. My two cents!

Good for indoors, with less fly population
The Fly Magnet is an effective solution for catching flies indoors. It attracts flies quickly, and the sticky surface ensures they stay trapped once they land. I noticed a significant decrease in the number of flies in my house after using it, making it a great option for keeping small indoor spaces fly-free.However, it’s relatively small, so if you have a severe fly problem or need coverage for a larger area, this may not be enough on its own. It works well for mild infestations or as a supplement to other fly control methods. Overall, it’s a simple and effective product, but for bigger fly issues, a larger or more heavy-duty solution might be needed.

I think it works
Long story short, this solved our gnat problem but I have no idea how. I don't know if anything got stuck to the tape but the bugs are gone. Since it worked, I won't question it.So we had these annoying gnats/fruit fly like bugs that were only in our bedroom for the most part. There was only like 1 or 2 per day but they were those ones that drives you nuts by flying right in your face and you can never kill them, so we bought these. They opened fairly easily without much force or the string or anything breaking randomly. I took the time to unravel it and tried pulling it tight and holding it like that for a bit, but as soon as I let go then it just wound right back up. I figured it would unravel on its own after hanging it up, so it wasn't a big deal. (The pic with more light shows how it was out of the box the first night)We put it into our ceiling above our computer where those things managed to evoke the most rage in us and went to bed. The very next morning we didn't see any flies. I didn't notice any stuck on the tape either though. Its now been 4 days since putting the fly paper up and we have not seen a single one of those gnats anywhere in my home. I *think* one may be stuck to the paper, but not completely sure, it could be dust too. I really don't understand it. We had these flies for 3 weeks and no severe change in weather or anything else, so I know it was these papers. They're the only change we made. Also side note, it ended up unraveling a little bit after we turned on our humidifier last night, but otherwise it still hasnt really straightened out yet.(You can see in the 2nd pic, the darker one where more of the window is in the shot) Its only been up for 4 days and I just measured it to be about 2 feet, even with it still curled a bit. I saw some other reviewers not like that it didnt unravel completely. I don't mind since it's not like we need the extra tape space and I'd probably manage to hit my head off it somehow if it was longer, which I'm definitely okay with never doing (again).Ultimately we bought this to get rid of our gnat problem, which it did. Even if it wasn't in the expected way. So I'm competely happy with the purchase. And it does seem sticky enough that if they land on it they would get stuck to it. Also getting 8 of them for the price is worth it as well.

The stickiest! Almost too powerful
Minus 1 star because they don't unfurl like they are supposed to, no matter how carefully, slowly, and gently you twist and pull. They just rip instead because they are so sticky. Minus a second star because it can be very stressful to remove the stickum from yourself if you accidentally come into contact with it--it is stubborn stuff if you don't have the right solutions. Keep three stars because this stuff is more than sticky enough to catch flies. It can catch a lot of flies, and it can even catch people lol. If you buy this, proceed with patience to unfurl it, and be sure to have a variety of de-gunkifying solutions on standby in case you accidentally get some of the stickum on you. Seriously. I tried dish soap, oil, nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, and pomice scrub and still had difficulty getting it all off of my hand. Maybe goo-gone could do it but I couldn't find mine.

They work!
My only problem is not with the item itself, but if you have low ceilings then the traps might hang too low inside your house. I wound up having to yank one of them out of my hair. Thankfully, no flies had caught on them yet.
