This book by Charles Kraft is one of the best I have read about spiritual authority and how it relates to the Christian life. Grounded in Scripture and using many practical examples, Dr. Kraft does a wonderful job helping Christians realize the authority that Christ has given us, and explaining how we can use it everyday to make an impact for the Kingdom of God. I have read several books by Dr. Kraft, and this one is my favorite by him. He has a very clear writing style, and is gifted in being able to convey God's Word in a very comprehensive and engaging way. This subject is also many times ignored in many Christian circles, so I am so glad he took the time to write a book like this explaining what God has taught him through the years. This book is well-written, informative, encouraging and most importantly - grounded in Scripture. You should read this book.

This book is a must read for every Christian. I had no idea that I had demons holding back my spiritual growth. He describes how a Christian can use the authority we have in Christ. We let demonic powers take control over our lives without even realizing they are present. It's time for Christians to stand up and take God's Authority in Jesus name and cast off the evil works of darkness.

This book is a must read for every Christian. This book tells the Authority we have in Christ and how we should be using it. We let Satan take too much Authority over our lives and it's time to stand up and take God's Authority over our life so we may live a victorious life. Very easy to read and understand. A book you would want to keep on your shelf to go back to if needed to be reminded of your Authority in Christ and to use this Authority. And yes, the title explains the book just like I have described. Get reading.

I keep buying more copies of this book to give away. It has opened up an entirely knew area of scripturally based knowledge and practical experience for me. I feel it is a tremendous help to so many people, maybe yourself, who are burdened or tormented by the enemy when all along we have had the authority to rid ourselves of these pests. This is just not being taught or discussed in most churches at least not in the Episcopal, Presbyterian, PCA, Anglican, and even most non-denominational Bible churches. The fact is, demons are far more common and influential than we realize and we have far more authority over them then we know. Without this awareness, we give free reign to the enemy and his demons in many cases even as they operate under the limitations God has placed on them.

This reading has alerted me to many areas in Christian lives that have not often been addressed by other books on spiritual warfare. Recommended reading for ministers, lay leaders, and any Christians who want to grow in their God-given authority. His writing style is informed but not too dense or scholarly. He engages the readers with scriptural reasoning as well as examples from actual ministry situations. There are many preconceptions and objections that he has to address, and he does so with a sense of humility but with the confidence of someone who has been in the battlefield.

Charles Kraft has written a comprehensive, Biblical and substantial book on the authority of Christian believers in Christ. This book is based on the reality revealed in Scripture of two kingdoms that are engaged in warfare here and now. Kraft shares signficant insights into the battle that rages between the Satanic kingdom of darkness anad the kingdom of heaven ruled by Jesus Christ.I believe that no matter how mature readers are spiritually they will walk away from this book with new insights and motivation regarding spiritual authority. I was impressed with how many illustrations Kraft uses in this book based on his own experiences or experiences of associates, and I was impressed with how he supports his assertions with Scripture.Kraft shares a reasonable humility, too, in dealing with authority in the spiritual realm. It was refreshing to hear that he does not have all the answers and that often he engages in experimenting with ways of dealing with demonic authorities. He offers many examples of demonic activity that the collection of references can lead one to believe that everyone and everything is carrying a demon. Kraft addresses this concern and suggests to readers that they begin by assuming demons are present in abundance and by dealing with them in the name of Jesus. He does not promote obsession or fanaticism but vigilance and offensive tactics against an enemy that the Bible says rages and prowls to destroy us.This is a life-changing book with practical instructions for readers to follow immediately. It is a book that I would wish every Christian would read and follow.

I just received this book a few days ago and I cannot put it down. I literally have at least half of every page underlined. It is so eye-opening. I’m hanging on every word and learning more from this book than I’ve learned and most of my life of Christianity. Just ordered a few more of his books! It’s time the church learned all we could and walk in the authority God has given us!
