Excellent scope with very useful close range capability
Great scope with a very useful close range capability. Pin sharp image even at 5m. It was way out of adjustment on arrival and I needed a large piece of cardboard to figure out where the shots were going. After that it was an easy job to zero the elevation and windage adjusters. I was pleased to discover the adjusters did not require a 1p coin to rotate them like my Hawke HD scope! Good dioptre range so you can get the MIL cross-hairs in perfect focus.Great for close range vermin control with the magnification wound back to about 4. Very impressed with the quality for such a reasonable price. Using it on a Weihrauch HW97 KT .22

Quality.
Very high quality and ridiculously accurate scope.More importantly it dials down to very short distances for back garden target shooting. Can set up quite far back on rail for short eye relief with little parallax movement and then focus in for your eyesight.Very easy to put pellets through previous pellet hole

Just the ticket - but no mil dots
Ok, ok, I admit it, I am a plonked... I do belong to a gun club, but FT and HFT don’t really do it for me and there is nothing better in terms of shooting for me than to either use the benches in the hut or set up a table outside in the sun and take shots at and 8 inch target with a preferred target of 2inches at 50 yards.I consistent achieve 10 shots in the two inch target at 50 yards and often get the grouping much tighter than that.So what do I use to achieve this? Well this budget scope, which I think is the best sub £100 scope by a mile and a Weirauch 80k .22 which just scrapes into the legal 12lb limit. A fantastic springer rifle, which even now after almost 30 years is an incredibly robust and accurate rifle. There is a saying that you should match the price of your scope to the same as your rifle. Improvement in optics at lower prices dispel that myth somewhat, but matching this Hawke scope with the Weirauch 80k is a phenomenal pairing for what I use it for.So enough of waxing lyrical, what do you get? The scope, lens caps (which I replaced with flip up caps) and a cleaning cloth. You have to purchase mounts separately: I used Hawke mounts; I purchased some 1” Hawke match mounts which are ideal. Fitting the scope into the mounts and onto the rail were easy and it was time to zero in. Don’t expect a huge amount of light to floor into this quite narrow aperture, but it is more than adequate for all but the most limited low light situations - hunters might feel differently. Zeroing in was simple, with any adjustments made reflected in a reassuring and solid click for each increment. Zeroed in at 25 yards, 30 and so on up to 50 yards was relatively simple with reassuringly positive adjustments on focus, zoom (up to 9x) and the all important parallax option. It is the parallax option which I find remarkable on what is a budget lens: whilst I didn’t have this option on previous scopes, I am learning how beneficial it is.In essence, I have a great scope on my BSA ultra, but which cost 4 times as much as this item, whilst on my Gamo sting I have a budget BSA scope which costs £50.00. In terms of quality and compatibility they are all good. In terms of value for money, this scope wins hands down, no question, image and build quality, backed by a lifetime guarantee make this scope a bargain for all but the most serious shooter - shame I didn’t buy one with mil dots, but as a pointer, it is not so important as I tend to adjust MOA distance.

Great sight, not British made
Not used it greatly yet but seems accurate and stable on the mount (not supplied). The front element is big so you might need a higher mount depending on your rifle. Definitely need 30mm high mounts on a BSA R10 with the barrel shroud fitted. Surprised the adjustments seem really predicable. The advertising blurb makes a big thing about British engineering and so on, but the scope is clearly marked as made in China. Having said that, so far it seems a great scope, suits the R10 and is nice and bright, clear with good contrast and pin sharp.

Excellent value and performance
Super low magnification scope. Great for shorter distances and the adjustable parallax improves accuracy. Lifetime warranty too.

Quality scope that comes with outstanding Hawke warranty.
I already had a larger Hawke scope that came as part of a package, lovely scope that had more features but was heavier, bulkier and required high mounts. This one has a smaller objective, not illuminated, no zoom but is lighter, still with a crisp, clear image and because i can attach it with lower mounts, parallax error is less of an issue. While the specs might seem basic its a great practical scope with a perfect reticle design as far as I'm concerned, doesn't obscure the target and the mil dots make holdover or holdunder over different distances easier to judge. A quality item. The turrets aren't finger adjustable but if you unscrew the caps they have a blade shape to insert into the adjustment thread so you don't need to worry about carrying a screwdriver etc.I managed to damage my other scope (entirely my fault) Hawke offer a very generous warranty and repaired it for me quickly and for FREE. Well impressed! Not a lot of money for a quality item with first class warranty. Easy to recommend.
