They lock!!!
Love that these lock, and they pump well. I use these for manicures and nails. You can pre-load and pump liquid to pool in the cap if you need to.

Useful for low budget
I ordered this set to have a way to dip an acid brush in isopropyl alcohol, to clean soldered joints. With careful handling and use, these bottles do the job just fine.Kudos to other reviewers that outlined the very discreet locking system- were it not for their efforts, I'd probably be in the one to two star reviewers saying these bottles don't work, they do.So, I've been carefully unscrewing the cap and filling one of the bottles with isopropyl alcohol, then carefully unlocking the pump WITH THE CAP ON, slowly pumping alcohol to the cap's basin, then removing the cap to dip my brush. If I need more alcohol, I close the cap, and SLOWLY pump more up.When I'm done, I clean the cap basin, put the cap top down, and carefully lock, then test the pump to ensure it's locked. If I didn't lock it and more alcohol pumps up, I pop the top off, clean the alcohol, and try again. Once the pump is locked, I put the bottle away. Why a long drawn out story of my usage? To illustrate that again, with careful use and handling, these bottles work fine. If you get ham-fisted with them, they will break and be rendered useless as pump dispensers. Amazon had me sub-rate the bottles "For traveling". I gave the bottles three stars. If you empty the bottles, and pack them carefully to keep them from shipping/travel handling abuse, I think they'd be okay. But the bottles aren't durable, so if they can't be packed with a lot of cushioning, I'd say go look for something more durable. On that note, I do wish Amazon would again evaluate the fragility of items they ship. I got lucky, my bottles arrived in a box with air bags, and some acid brushes I'd ordered, and the box hadn't been damaged. But I'm willing to bet some reviewers here got bottles that weren't defective, but got damaged in shipping.

Diabetic USe
>.. Sometimes I get irritated by delays in getting my individual wrapped alcohol pads, and the amount I must pay. In my youth, I was one of the test batch for the injected polio vaccine (Saulk Trials). There they used these alcohol pumps to moisten the cotton ball before either injections or blood draws. Same in every Doctor's Office I ever visited.>.. Remembering this, and looking at the price of a bag of small cotton balls, I thought to give these a try.>.. I had ordered one of these alcohol pumps from a competitor. I leaked, it couldn't hold alcohol in the pump requiring 4 or 5 pumps to get the alcohol to the cotton ball. in all I was disappointed in how poorly it worked.>.. Then I saw these, knowing that if neither one of the two would work, I could return them with and get refunded. The first one worked a charm, just like in the days of my youth. It holds the alcohol ready to dispense. One pump on a half of a cotton ball and I am able to cleanse the skin prior to injecting my medication. And since it is so cheap, I feel better about using these that the individually wrapped (wasted wrapper and the pledgette) ones.>.. I could probably use a quarter of a cotton ball as the area to cleanse is fairly small. I buy the high test Isopropal alcohol versus the lower more diluted version. (Interestingly where I buy the alcohol, both strengths are the same price.) I have had no signs of a skin infection from where I have cleansed my skin prior to injecting.>.. Of note: I feel more in control of my diabetes using this simple system. Not sure that would apply to anyone else.

Too big for First Aid kit
Nice bottle. Will have to reshop it. They are too tall for the Kit.

works but a little flimsy
the product does what it needs to but the top feels a little cheap and flimsy. If you push down without covering the entire top, whatever liquid inside will squirt pretty aggressively- can't really use with a q tip or something smaller FYI

Durable and easy to use
The media could not be loaded. I've had this pair of pump bottles for 5 years, and they work as well as the day I bought them! I can even use it one handed. Highly recommend!

Nice Price for a Pair of Pump Dispenser Bottles
I purchased these 'AKOAK Pack of 2 Push Down Empty Lockable Pump Dispenser Bottle for Nail Polish and Makeup Removal' looking for something that i could use for alcohol in my bathroom and for acetone in my garage. I've used the first bottle for rubbing alcohol and have been very pleased with it. It doesn't leak and appears to hold a good seal since it hasn't evaporated. The pump mechanism works well and is very smooth. I haven't taken the time to work try it with acetone but suspect it's going to work out just as well as it has for the rubbing alcohol. Not sure I'd trust these to travel with unless they were in a Zip Lock bag, but that wasn't what I purchased them for.
