ZULUDIVERCroyde Canvas Watch Strap

Comfortable and secure
Very happy with this strap - stitched canvas that is comfortable from first wearing. Perfect daily wear for me - not smart enough for dressy occasions, but I didn’t buy it for that. Spring bars are easy to operate and feel secure once engaged. Steel buckle is stamped ‘Zuludiver’ and Is not too obtrusive (some brands seem to have huge buckles, which makes the whole strap look clunky). The strap holes have little steel rings in, so there is no stretching or tearing of the fabric in use.I ordered the fairly neutral grey strap which goes very well with a blue/purple dial.

Strap Is Simple In Design, Comfortable On Wrist But Perhaps A Little Overpriced
PresentationThe ZULUDIVER Croyde Canvas Watch Strap in the 20mm format and army green colour was supplied in a branded cardboard sleeve with a zeal over the fold down top. The sleeve contained the two parts of the strap in a second transparent plastic sleeve that had a stick down top. There were instructions and care / maintenance guides on the rear of the cardboard sleeve.First ImpressionsTaking out the strap parts and looking them over, it was noticeable that the stitching was quite details around the edge of both parts, and the eyelets for the pins were metal which gave it a bit of a modern aesthetic. The design is fairly simple with the aforementioned stitching just 2mm from the edge of the strap, and quick release bars on both parts. Both the outside and inner are the same colour and texture, manufactured with 100% cotton canvas and fairly rigid at least for now when new. The short strap held the silver buckle and the guide loops whilst the longer one had the eyelets rivets punched into it for the buckle pin to thread into. The stitching looks well finished and no issues or marks etc were noticed on the strap, whilst the quick release bars work just as expected. The buckle has the ZULUDIVER name stamped into it.Day To Day UseInitially after fitting the strap onto the lugs of the 20mm watch it was ordered for and fastening it on my wrist I was happy with the look. The strap feels great and is comfortable but as mentioned a little stiff being new, this will soften with use over time. The buckle pin has a bend and lip on it and does snag a little on the eyelets when attempting to remove the watch from the wrist but it is manageable.Summing UpThe strap is a fairly simple but with the metal eyelets has a modern look and it does allow the watch dial to shine and the silver buckle goes well with the aesthetic. I am happy with this strap and think it offers a nice look and feel though it is a little pricey compared to other similar straps I own, it is also available in other colour finishes.

Classic Zuludiver
Just another well made watch strap from Zuludiver. Swapped out a rubber strap from a smart watch for this. Well made strap

Nothing special and overpriced
This is a review of the ZULUDIVER Croyde Canvas Watch Strap. This watch is nothing special and has an annoying design fail. As such is not worth the current price of £18. I already have a canvas strap on my smartwatch, because I prefer the feel over rubber, plastic or nylon. However, my current strap is a lot more stylish than this one (black with orange contrast stitching) and it cost half the price of this one. This one also has an issue with its buckle. The metal insert that goes onto the holes on the stap has a hook on the end, which latches firmly in the buckle holes. This means when you want to take off the watch it won’t release just by pulling the tail of the strap. You have to do a one-handed contortion to push the buckle away from the hole at the same time as you lift the tail of the strap. After a bit of a struggle, it will eventually release. Very annoying.

Nice, but not the colour I was expecting
This is a nice quality strap in a canvas type fabric, feels well finished and stitched and it fits my (22mm) Sekonda watch perfectly - easy to clip on and off.It is meant to be 'admiralty grey' which I was expecting to be a kind of grey - call me old-fashioned! When I got it, I immediately thought "is that grey? It looks more purple/mauve.."I took a couple of pics (see photos here) and sent to my daughter who is much more aware of fashion etc. than me, and asked her what colour she saw. Mauve, she said, definitely. So I don't hate it, and I will use it, as it's a decent quality strap - but be aware, the colour is definitely much closer to mauve than any grey I have ever seen.
