Bought this to replace a google lock that required a wifi connector to be plugged into the wall within sight of the lock. It didn't work reliably. This lock doesn't need the wifi connector as it's built into the unit. With the schlage app, you can connect the lock easily to your wifi network and see your lock in the app. You can unlock and lock the door from anywhere with your phone and see the history of when it was locked and unlocked and by what method such as thumbturn or code. You can program many codes, set them up permanently or for a certain time range. We use this same lock at our Airbnb and it gets programmed for each guest's stay with thieir desired code. The 4 AA batteries it requires last a long time - upwards of a year or so depending on usage and you can see battery life in the app. I can't think of any features this lock would need to be improved upon and we're very happy with the two we have. Highly recommend.

i love this password lock for my house. it was so easy to install for my front door. my family and i downloaded the app and it alerts you who walks in, when the door is open and locked, and lock the door from the app (of course you can turn those features off). it’s so easy to access and use. i personally think this is a great investment for your house. i think this item is so cool and handy, the door also locks automatically after about 2 minutes. it’s such a safe device that you don’t have to worry about if it’s unlocked or anything like that.

The video directions for installation working from the schlage app made the install and setup easy. We use the front door all the time for walking the dogs, so being able to lock and unlock with carrying keys is a definite bonus. I also really like that I can create different codes for different people and set up alerts to see when those codes are used.

Installation was a breeze. However, the lock keeps saying it "jammed", even when the door is open. Updated the firmware and resetted the lock to factory defaults. It opens easily with a key from the front or the inside thumbturn.Customer support is not responding. Will be reaching out to Amazon to figure out how to return this.Really regret buying this product. Now I have a 300 dollar "dumb" lock that only works with a key.
