Understanding how to grow our inner peace through creative activities
This is a beautifully written book! The author has made it easy and inviting to open yourself to creative experiences that help to grow your inner self and your inner peace. The ARTS are for all of us to enjoy. As we enter in creative experiences we become more in tune and more loving towards ourselves. This book not only explains how this works, but guides the reader (and leader) to open the doors to learning how to do this (and we all know how hard it is to start something - that first step can be the hardest).

Great Beginning Tool to Art Therapy
I appreciated the organization and tranquility with which the book was written, setting an excellent tone for healing and discovery. I welcome the Exercises found in the book and look forward to following many of them. The author also incorporates other holistic ideas for healing, weaving them lightly through the book, which I love because I personally value holistic healing tools. She brings up so many forms of art that can all contribute to healing so it isn’t just 100% drawing or painting, which I don’t have a lot of natural ability in, so there are lots of ways to utilize art to heal.

Good book for beginners
This book presents the philosophy behind art therapy and why it’s useful and provides art therapy exercises. The exercises are at the beginner level. I think people who enjoy expressing themselves creatively would enjoy this book. I also think that people who have a difficult time expressing emotions verbally in talk therapy sessions would find many of the exercises useful. I did want to add that I thought this book would still be appropriate for those who don’t consider themselves to be naturally artistic and who feel nervous about trying art therapy. The exercises are simple enough that anyone can do them, and you don’t have to worry about not having enough art skills to complete the exercises. You only need an interest in using art to express emotion to enjoy this book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Learned Good Things
I've always been curious about how art therapy works. This is a good resource to learn by. For me, unique exercises for healing and processing emotions. Not at all just about drawing or coloring.

This book is awesome!!
I loved how this book was laid out. While reading it I felt like I was set up for success in learning how to express myself through art (ps. I’m not an artist either). But even though I’m not very good at art I was able to see improvement in my art as well as in my confidence. I loved the different exercises that the book walked through. It was also very easy to understand!!
