Nice fix. A+
Fairly easy to replace. Looks like factory. Well worth the 2 hours invested. This unit uses a metal piece for reinforcement of the handle. The cheaper ones do not.

Quality product
Were a bit of a pain to install, but once they are done, well worth it. Should have done it when it broke 3 years ago instead of using the ghetto sport tape wrap that's been on it.

Excellent replacement part - WATCH THE DORMAN VIDEO !
My 2013 Sierra L/F Door armrest was broken and for quite some time I pondered how I was going to make a repair. I stumbled onto this Dorman replacement door armrest, and after watching the Dorman instructional video I decided to give it a try. Note, I was a trim shop mechanic at a Cadillac dealer for a number of years so I had a level of confidence that this was something that I could accomplish. But if you watch and follow the Dorman instructional video for the armrest replacement I think anyone with a little mechanical ability should be able to install this replacement armrest. The video illustrates drilling out the plastic welded studs holding on the old armrest, which is good. Do this carefully, but also be careful to remove all remaining plastic left on from the "plastic welding". This will give you a nice flat surface for the flat washers to seat themselves when attaching the new armrest. For this purpose, I used a small deburring tip on my cordless drill to remove the excess plastic from the welding. Take your time, and you'll be pleased with your results. I'm VERY happy with mine, good luck!

Solid design and outcome but installation takes patience
Installation was not as straightforward as hoped, but part of that was due to navigating the removal of the old armrest. Take your time and set aside a couple of hours with YouTube nearby. You’ll be removing the entire interior door panel and lining everything up is not so simple. All that said, the final outcome was a far stronger armrest/handle than the plastic filled trash GM originally provided (which should be replaced for free due to flawed design).Excited to see how long it lasts despite my kids and wife taking turns hanging on it like chimps because they can’t simply hop into my truck.
