Nice compact light with visible light cutoff
These light come with a remote control, and with it, you can switch between road mode, with a visible light cutoff to avoid blinding other road users, and a flood mode that illuminates the top as well, so that you don't ride into a branch sticking into the trail. It's designed to be mounted underneath a bike computer, and comes with a GoPro adapter. I'm using with Peak Design's bicycle phone mount that has a GoPro mount underneath. The light is quite yellowish (similar to a soft white bulb). Comes with a two button wireless remote. I'm not crazy about the mount for the remote - it's essentially a very long narrow piece of Velcro, and there's no good way of mounting it. Unlike newer lights, you also can't have the remote control a rear light. The remote uses a disposable battery.Light body is aluminum. I don't know if the front is glass or plastic, but it's very clear. Batteries unfortunately are built in and not replaceable. If you need a light that mounts below your bike computer or phone, this is a very good choice. I'm sure there's better ones, but probably not at these price point, and not many of them comes with a visible light cutoff, flood mode, and a wireless remote control.

One of the best bike lights on the market, with exceptional beam cutoff
This headlight is a great value and features a great beam cuttoff that allows good light through while not blinding other path users. The batter life is pretty good two. the remote button for the high-beam function is great!Ideally I would like to see a battery indicator that is visible while riding the bike rather than on the bottom of the light.Additionally it would be better if the beam pattern was a little brighter towards the horizontal center than it is on the edges for better distance contrast.

Nice, bright. Needs better indicator location.
Pros: Bright, good mode options, nice below the bar hang, good remoteCons: power indicator/power button on bottom of light and hard to see , run time limited by on board battery, instructions could be a little more detailedAll in all, a good light. Nice level and flash options. Good beam cutoff. But, as other reviewers have noted, power button/level light hard to see because they are beneath the light when mounted. If Magicshine were to swap locations of the power button/level light and usb charging port, that would be excellent. The power button/level light would then be more visible and accessible to the rider. The button us rarely used though because the remote control also can turn the light on/off as well as cycle through functions.

Top quality, bright light
It's another fantastic light from Magicshine. The quality of the product is outstanding. This is the third light I bought from Magicshine. You may wonder why buy three lights if they're so good. My first upgrade was to improve brightness a couple years ago, this time I bought it because of the up-side-down mount for use with another bike.I had some trouble making it work with the Magicshine app. I contacted the customer support and they replaced it with a new light that worked correctly with the app. The app allows to edit the intensity and the flash patterns of the light. Once set up, you can toggle between the different modes with the remote control.I wish the remote control could also be paired with the rear light. This would allow for a much faster and safer way to turn on the rear light.

Terrible Battery Life
When fully charged, the light is excellent, HOWEVER, the battery is dead after 2 hours. Completely flat. Not ideal when you cycling at 5am for multiple hours.

Great inexpensive front lights especially if you already have a bike computer
I've been using the evo 1300 for over a month and its a great daylight/nighttime front lights. I don't use the button as I don't find myself constantly using it to change settings - I can do that myself when I'm at a red stop/light. It's sleek enough that sits nicely under my garmin edge 1050.

Great light, garbage remote.
The headlight is awesome but honestly the reason I bought it was that I’d be able to switch from low beam to high beam and turn it on and off with the remote. The included remote though is garbage. The strap they give it to hold it on is a Velcro strap, with no buckle. So you just have to wrap it around with the extra two inches hanging off and you still can’t get it tight enough to keep it from spinning around in the handlebar. I wound up breaking the slot that the strap goes through, rendering it unusable. So I ordered another one for $20 and can you believe it, it arrived with the exact same part already broken. And the piece wasn’t in the box which means they sent me one that somebody ride has already broken and returned which means I’m not the only person with this problem. You need to make this remote like the one for the alty1200 with the silicone stretch band so that it will actually be useable, or at least include a proper strap.

Exceptional battery life, effective mode switching
This light has been perfect for long rides that start before sunrise. The remote on the handlebars makes it easy to switch modes from high beam to low when a car is coming or when the sun is rising and it's time to switch over to the pulsing mode. I tested this on a 4 hour ride and still had battery when I got home. This is the light you're looking for if you're a long distance rider.
