I don't know why I never used one of these before. I had the idea of training collars until I got one, but it didn't do the job that I needed it to do. I have 4 dogs, 3 of which are rescues with their own aggressive habits. I have a Rottweiler mix and a Chihuahua mix who are both food aggressive and the training collar wasn't helping with the Rottie's aggressiveness. I have purchased 3 air horns so far and I'm a believer. It hasn't stopped the aggressiveness in its tracks, but it does A LOT more than the collar did. I don't even have to use it 99% of the time now, I just have to let her/them see that I have it in my hand. Don't feel like a special air horn is needed though. I've been purchasing larger cans, from the sporting goods section of WM, for a lot less than one of these special air horns that are supposedly made for dog training. Ya'll, they are all made the same way. Save your $.

Product does not work. Don’t waste your money. Only air blows out. No sound at all. And Amazon will not allow a return or exchange on this product, even if it’s defective. Poor quality and even worse customer service.

It works as well as other items I’ve paid much more for. My neighbors’ dogs bark incessantly, and I have tried many anti-bark products. This works as well (or better) than so called specialty products that cost much more. Wear ear plugs when you blast it, though.

My morning walk takes me by a house with two rottweilers. On occasion they have come out onto the street after me. I knew I needed some kind of protection so I looked at pepper spray and other options, but I really preferred a deterrent that would keep the dogs away without needing to engage with them. I saw this air horn and started doing research. It seemed like a lot of people had good results. So I made the purchase and started carrying the air horn. The air horn became my good luck charm, because the dogs didn't come out into the street after me for some time. However recently they finally came out after me and I am happy to report the air horn worked great! The dog was running at me, barking and growling and I yelled at it, however it didn't stop coming at me. I hit the air horn and the dog instantly stopped, turned around with its tail between its legs and ran back to its house. I couldn't be happier with the results!

Used it for fun to surprise a friend. Thoroughly loud and definitely did its job.

It’s loud. Took me a while to figure it out. It’s nice for safety and this way I don’t have to spray a dog with pepper spray so it’s better for me.
