You want to make your animal jump 10 feet in the air?
This KICKS like an angry draft horse! Oh man.I have one stubborn escape artist dog who showed all of my other dogs how to climb over my neighbor's fence and run around the neighborhood. I did not have this issue until one night a storm blew down the neighbor's fence. Ever since then, they found out that there's an entire world on the other side, and the one became hell bent / obsessed with escaping. We repaired the fence, and all of them got out the very next day. We reinforced the fence further, and again they got out. We put a freaking metal lid (5 feet of horizontal metal bars at the top of the fence) and they still got out (how? Because the one is a Houdini, and once he breaks through, all the other ones get hyped up and follow him! Even if they hurt themselves in the process.) We even put an extra fence up on the interior of the main fence, and he ripped that down and still got out.It was to the point where he was cutting himself and breaking his teeth just to figure out how to undo whatever new obstacle we put up. Because of all this mayhem, one of my dogs ended up getting hit by a car (he is okay but it was EXTREMELY SCARY and cost me thousands at the emergency vet), and another got kidnapped by a self-proclaimed "rescue do-gooder" who REFUSED to give him back. We had to get the police involved, and they almost had to break down his door. Another went MIA for an entire week; we had the whole neighborhood looking for him. I was so scared to let any of them out at all, but how on earth was I supposed to keep energetic intelligent working breed dogs inside the house 24/7? They need to poop and pee, and they need to run and play!Every time I'd let my dogs out to pee, within 30 seconds they would be climbing over, digging under, or tearing straight though the fence, leaping over my neighbor's tiny gate, and running in all directions. When my husband found me camped out in my neighbor's yard in the rain, waiting to jump out and yell at them when they started to escape, he said enough is enough.I knew the only thing I could do at that point was to order an electric fence. I knew that something weak was not going to stop them - they run RIGHT through invisible fencing at the highest setting and don't even flinch. Most of the electric fence boxes available on Amazon are weak, and I already knew they'd barely even tickle them. My dogs have thick skin, and even thicker skulls. VERY stubborn, VERY determined, and nearly impervious to pain. The night I installed this zapper box, I waited by the back door.. and sure enough, within a minute of letting them out, I heard a LOUD "YERP!!!!!!!" and I watched my Houdini boy projectile himself straight up and away from the fence like he was shot out of a cannon. Every single one of them tried it. They looked like they had seen a ghost. My Houdini tried it two more times after that in different spots, I suppose to make sure he wasn't dreaming. They all were sent airborne every time. Yes, yes, and yes! SUCCESS! Now my dogs are SAFE from their own devices! After a month of turning this on religiously every time they went out, they eventually stopped going near the fence completely. We stopped having to turn it on. We rarely ever turn it on now.. they respect the crap out of that fence! An added bonus is that I no longer have to worry about them trying to taunt the neighbor's dog ever again. The neighbors have a tiny little ankle biter and my dogs are huge powerhouses that were bred to hunt and kill wild boar.. so it always made me nervous seeing them taunt each other through the fence. My boys are friendly and have never had any inappropriate interactions with people or other dogs, but I know that they could quite literally eat my neighbor's dog in a split second if they really wanted to.

It's really that shocking!!!
This thing really works. We use it on 14 acres, fully fenced with 4 strand electro braid and our goats stay put, horses and dogs don't wanna go near it!

questionable durability
Charger seemed to work OK at first but as there is no on off switch it has to be unplugged and pugged in to operate, we use it only during the day and the pug tore off from the cord after 3 weeks leaving a scorch mark on my wife’s hand now we have no charger as it is fried. The pug is not large enough to grip tightly daily and during repeated plugging in and un plugging it separated from the cord, and NO we were NOT pulling on the cord.

Awesome
This thing is finally keeping my stupid billies in their yard. Totally worth it. Hopefully it lasts. The alarm is LOUD and very accurate about if something is grounding out.

Hot fence
It's hotter than any electric fence than I ever had. Found a dead bird at corner fence post just this morning weedeating. Love the remote control. I worry I might accidentally turn it on while working on fence. Keeps my goats in. Highly recommend .

Unbelievable Value!
So I bought this as a backup charger to my very expensive model. I read all the reviews and the negative reviews seemed like they really had no reason to dislike the charger except for one which said it would not work. It is impossible to buy a name brand charger that puts out 9 joules and is DC powered for less than 500.00 I really bought it out of curiosity to test if it was possible to buy a charger for this price that would actually do what it claimed. It takes joules to keep a fence hot that has over growth on it and a 9 joule charger is pretty hot. I have a solar station set up just for the fence charger with a 50 watt panel, charge controller and 35AH battery. I hooked this charger up to a section that has not been cleared in a year! It has wild plums grown up in it as well as weeds on about 3/4 mile of it. I want to say if you have any growth on your fence that is where it will show if your ground system is adequate or not. I have 4 ground rods driven 8 ft into the ground 10 ft apart on this section. My Zareba fence tester pegged at 8k volts at the charger AND at the far end of the fence AFTER going through all the growth! I got another fence tester that will go much high in voltage and it tested 15.9k at the charger and 15k at the far end a mile away after going through all that growth! I really thought I would need to spend a day clearing that fence in order for that charger to work but no! It's a hoss!! I turned the stock out in that pasture with no issues, they want no part of this charger! We now just need to see how well it holds up! The third pic is the fence line with overgrowth. You can't even see the wire but even after all that it is 15k volts on far end!

Died after 6 months
This product worked great for 6 months and then completely died. At the price point I expected it to last longer.
