It absorbs water from outside and swells. That's not how Swim diapers are for. We used one and thanks to Amazon, they returned the product

Don’t waste your money. Go for a different brand.
Horrible quality. The diaper doesn’t even hold two pees let alone working inside water. Tried this on my baby and her clothes and my clothes were completely soiled . It’s better my baby goes diaper free! Absolute waste!
