Big city commuter DC
DC commuter here! Best investment I made to save myself time to and from the metro station leaving my car at home! Before buying this the reviews on the breaks almost made me not get this scooter. Please know all the ppl saying the breaks are too harsh have never driven a car before. You do not ever break hard in or on any vehicles. The breaks are smooth when you apply them smoothly. Yes if you slam the breaks hard you will stop hard. Typical physics. I’m very pleased with the breaks and the overall ride. Air was needed for the tires out the box but I was still able to do 2 rides after unboxing. This is where a portable air pump for my car came in handy. The 19 mph feels fast when riding. It does drain my battery a bit with the amount of hills in DC & MD + my weight (210lb 5’11 female). I do about 5.6 miles (42 minutes round trip) commuting and I usually get home with 1 battery bar left from a full charge on Sport mode. Light on the scooter is good at night to see all the city pot holes. Definitely recommend this especially if it’s on sale! Great ride and no issues so far. I’ll be buying back up tires to have on hand asap! Can’t believe I didn’t invest in this sooner.

Throttle stopped working after a month
Bought this to be a way to get to and from my classes. Was a nice ride and well put together, until a month passed and it’s already brokenTried to take it out and the scooter started throwing up an error code, tried to look in the manual to see what the problem was and it wasn’t written, so I had to research the problem myself because hover 1 didn’t have it writtenTurned out to be a problem with a throttle, and when I looked I noticed that the throttle on my scooter is not even the one that is advertised for this scooter, probably a third party patch job that was never going to last anyway.I should have a warranty on this scooter, at least I put in on the hover website to have a warranty, but the website has you submit your email so they can send you a link and the link never arrivesIf you try to call customer support you get an automated message saying nobody is going to take your call before it hangs up.All in all a terrible product from a bad company.

Nice budget scooter
I got this for my 13 year old daughter and my occasional desire to ride. I am rather impressed with its ability to haul my 200 plus pound self up slight hills. My daughter keeps it in the slower speeds and she's happy with how it rides. The only gripes are the battery life isn't the greatest and the ride is a bit bumpy but for fun around the neighborhood I think it is one of the best single motor scooters for the price. Sure you can get a better scooter, but you'll most likely pay twice as much if not more. It'll go around 20mph and make it up hills and its low to the ground and easy to ride for an adult or a kid. It folds up for easy transport and isn't all that heavy.

Hover 1 customer support and warranty are non existent.
It's actually a decent product for the price, what you get, decent acceleration/speed, decent range, decent hill climbing ability, what you don't get is any customer support. If you have any issues your on your own, hover 1 does not back their products in any way. You cannot call anyone and the only way to contact them is through a service ticket which they do not respond to. The phone number is a dead end that says all agents are busy submit a ticket. Not servicable or repairable and replacement parts are almost non existent, and in the event you are able to return something or have it repaired, all costs for shipping and repairs are the consumers responsibility.

worth maybe $50
The media could not be loaded. We purchased 2 of the max 700w scooters and within 2 weeks of having both scooters, the bar that attaches to the wheel and handlebars would click back and forth. (see attached video) It comes with an allen wrench and we would tighten it, but it never stayed tight. A week ago, the back wheels on both scooters are flat. Neither scooter came with the adapter that is an extender. So we had to purchase 3 different extenders to finally find one that would work. When we finally got air into the tire, we found out that there is a leak next to the valve on one of the tires and we suspect the other one has a leak as well. We tried putting green slime into it, but that didn't work on one. Still waiting on the results for the other. Lastly, one of the complaints was the brakes. I would say that this was a huge concern once we found out how SENSITIVE the brakes are. PROCEED WITH CAUTION! I do NOT suggest buying this scooter.

Rocket. Ship.
I've tried so.. so so many scooters that claim to be hill climbers for "payloads" up to 265 pounds.. and while I'm still dealing with the thought of being referred to as a "payload" ..none but this one could really rip me up a hill. I'm a 40yo guy that weighs about 230 pounds - a combination of baby fat my mother tells me I'm bound to lose sooner or later, and Covid weight gained from a year spent on my couch playing GTA and consuming adult beverages at a fevered pace. That being said. This thing moves. It's fast and fun. It pulls me up hills way steeper then they claim it can, and accelerates hard..But the brakes. They're either on or off. And there is no adjustment for it. It's the regen for the motor/battery. Just learn to lean back when applying them, you'll get used to it. Basically this beauty with throw you backwards, and throw you forwards, but man.. it'll get you up a hill at an alarming pace. Even more so if you aren't a 40 yo, 230 pound dude. You won't get anything better here for inclines. Trust me. No matter how expensive they are. I've tried, and returned them all but this one.
