works well
Using to remove lead paint from windows/doors/ trim (attached to hepa vacuum). Love that it includes a hose and shop vac adapter. I have switched the blade to a Purdy carbide blade as it is slightly curved and offers more bite with less chance of gouging. If the paint is in really bad shape this will strip it to the bare wood. Paint in pretty good condition may need stripper or heat gun first.

handy for porch painting
We are in the process of painting our porch railing, which unfortunately has some peeling paint that we needed to deal with. This sucks up the little paint bits so they don't get everywhere while you're scraping off paint. Much nicer than having a mess of paint chips in the front garden and under the porch floor boards. Very handy.

Great idea - blade is weak link
Compared to other scrapers this thing does not compare. There is a scraper on amazon from a german company that will scrape peeling paint to bare wood in one pass. this one will not. unfortunately the blades from that one do not fit this one. if you are looking for something that is light duty, and will just get the lose paint off in a few passes resulting in double or triple the work this is the scraper for you.

Handle gets blocked... good results otherwise
I own a similar product for sanding drywall which works well and I needed to prepare my outdoor trim work for painting on an older house. At first I was annoyed that wasn't working... but it was because the first few scrapes took off the largest flakes. My shop vac was making sad noises and flakes were falling too the floor rather than being captured.Once I realized the handle has a tendency to get blocked I regularly checked it to keep the air flowing. The results with this Scraper were excellent and I recommend it, but watch out for blockages.
