JawSaw extension works as advertised
I received this extension about a week ago and used it today to lop off some tree branches too high to reach with my chain saw. I had bought the JawSaw 307 some time ago, and decided the extension would be useful. Contrary to the 307 manual, this extension fits perfectly, and allowed me to reach out-of-reach branches while standing on the ground. As noted elsewhere, this combination is end-heavy, but that's to be expected. And the styling is pretty cool, as well. I'm quite happy with both products, although the JawSaw chain does tend to come off if small branches become tangled in the saw's housing. I take that as an opportunity for a small work break!

"Handle lt"
An excellent extention handle for the jaw saw 4". Extention helped to cut down high branches over 12ft. Ready to use right out of the box. Attaching the handle to the saw was very easy. My son early twenty's cut high. I cut up on the lower ground level as instructed 3 hugh bags of branches in no time. The jaw saw & extention handle was a lot of fun. Purchased at an excellent price. Thank you VRLT.

Used it one afternoon
Easy to attach to the JawSaw and use is straightforward. It seems sturdy and I used it to cut some limbs 8-10 feet above the ground. It worked well if held close to vertical but was very awkward if extended at all horzontally (a heavy weight at end of long pole). I would not attempt to climb a ladder more than a foot or two and use it. I rate it useful and safe for limbs 8-12 feet above ground. For lower limbs, JawSaw with no extension is good. For higher limbs, safer to climb ladder a bit higher to use saw with no extension.

Only tried it once
I tried it to make sure I could work it and it works great. Gives you the extra length you need to get those branches higher up. I love the WORX - it makes it so very easy for a small women like me to do the big stuff. Thanks for such a great product.

Broke before even using it once.
I got this extension pole to attach to the JawSaw (which is great so far, BTW) so I could reach some higher branches. I've seen and read many reviews saying the saw with this pole attached is unwieldy and tiring to use because of the combined weight and poor balance of the saw when attached to the pole. Despite these reviews, I figured I could likely use it in short sessions without getting too tired out. Can I? I have no idea because the closing mechanism broke the first time I tried to attach the JawSaw to this extension pole. The existing handle, safety switch, and on/off mechanism from the saw fit into a plastic clamp on the extension pole. After putting the saw handle into this clamp, the instructions then say to "Close the clamp, the locking lever will automatically lock into place". The first time I tried to do this the door of the clamp did not automatically lock into place. It just popped right back open. So I tried it again with the same results... it did not lock. I then opened the clamp door only to have this little piece of metal fall out (see pictures). This tiny piece of cheap looking metal is apparently the locking mechanism which is all that there is to supposedly keep this clamp closed to prevent a spinning chainsaw from falling in unknown directions when held 12 feet above the ground. On my copy of the pole, it wasn't even strong enough to close the clamp once without snapping off. I'm not sure if this was misaligned when attached to the screw of the lock lever when it was assembled at the factory, or if the metal was just so weak it couldn't engage with the plastic slot without snapping. Either way, It is scary to think that this thin, brittle piece of cheap metal would be all that is keeping a running saw from falling out of this pole. For the price of this pole you would think it would be built to be sturdier, especially in the one area most crucial for safety to keep a running chainsaw from falling on somebody.I still do need to trim some higher branches, and I have no confidence in the safety of this design even if I were to get a new copy of the pole. I may have to return the JawSaw (even though it is great for reachable small branches) and go with a more traditional pole saw.

Works (or WORKX) as advertised.
Works as represented, but not as easily as the TV commercial suggests. When you are cutting overhead, the saw feels quite heavy and takes two hands to put in place. Unfortunately, I lost balance on a ladder at some point during a tree pruning project and had to drop the saw. The shaft of the extension bent, and I found out that it was not replaceable. I am happy enough with the product that I bought another one.

the pole for the jawsaw
This cost me a hell of a lot of money. The company that was selling it in England claimed they had stopped stocking it. So I had to buy it from an American stockist, on which I paid a lot postage and packing and then export duty. The I had to spend forty quid getting someone to change the plugs - so it would work in England. But it has to be said, despite the horrendous expense - this has been GOOD, I have managed to clear my garden of very tall overgrown trees and shrubs without the hazardous business of climbing a ladder with a chainsaw.

WORX JawSaw and Extension Handle
I cannot say enough good things about this Saw. I felt like super woman cutting one branch after the other. I am 71 and not as strong as I use to be but I could handle this without a problem. It cuts right thru branches so fast. I ordered the extension handle. The saw with the handle on it is a little too heavy for me so I have to get help to reach places where the extension is needed. I love it and would highly recommend it even for older people such as myself.
