If you have a use for it. This thing is brilliant.
If you are considering the LONGTOO LCD Writing Tablet, then you probably already have a possible use for it on your mind already. It only uses battery power to erase and reset the 'screen'. At all other times it is using no power at all. Which makes it perfect as a phone notepad, a shopping list, a hallway memo pad etc. It is not backlit. As you write on the screen, you clear away LCD crystals and the turquoise sheet behind shows through. So the brighter the ambient light, the brighter the writing will appear. But even on my office desk, under an offset light, it is perfectly readable. The only battery is a button cell, which is used to reset the screen. The instructions say the screen can reset 50,000 times. But that actually means the battery. If the screen is not resetting, the button cell is flat and needs replacing. The device itself is quite a smart looking thing. It is light, but does not look cheap. It is the kind of device, where if someone sees it on your desk, and is shown what it does, they will probably go out and get one for themselves. The delete/reset button on the back is raised slightly, so you can locate it by feel, without having to turn the tablet over. Although this model has a screen lock switch, I deliberately tried to erase the screen by pressing on the base of the tablet. But the delete button needs a positive press, so I was not able to accidentally clear the screen while writing. The other really nice feature of this model, as opposed to others I have seen, is that the LONGTOO does not react to finger or palm pressure. It only seems to work via the stylus tip. I use mine as a kind of electronic Post-it-Note. Somewhere to write down short-term information, deal with it, then reset the screen. And for that purpose it works incredibly well, and I don't end each day with a wastebin full of little squares of paper.

Christmas Present
It is easy to use, and the writing is easy & readable. The eraser works well. I have this as Christmas Present to try this technology, & it works very well. Well worth the money.

worked really well
£19 at time of reviewI bought this as I had a very ill relative, that was unable to speak for a while, and this did the job perfectly. It was simple to communicate using it and the screen was clear enough to read easilyHope my review was helpful

Very poor quality
You can barely see the writing to the point I didn’t even know it was on. Your better of using a pen and paper

Professional
I do love it. I find its great for extracting your thoughts and reaching conclusions and then you can delete them at an instant. Works great in day light. At night I would recommend a desk lamp or clip on light. Writes the thickness of a normal pen. The size is recommendable, elegant and sufficient. If you wish to save, take a photo of the screen. On the negative side I miss lines to write on and you can't amend without full deletion. But to leave on a positive note, if you can find you can make use of it regularly for what ever reason its good to have.

Good to start with but...
The writing was crisp and tight to begin with, and easy to see with the appropriate lighting. After 2 months the writing started to bulge, to the point that you could only write a couple of words on one line. The writing also slowly fades until you can barely read it. I tried replacing the battery but no joy. You can see the larger pad in the photo that I bought around the same time has kept its crispness and brightness. It was good while it lasted, very handy for daily to-do's etc

Love it :)
I have a bit of a compulsion around making lists. I'd go through SO many notebooks and notepads. There are fancier ones if you need to keep the notes. The cheaper, simple option works for temporary notes. And the pen in the surface feels insanely silky!Only things that would be great are, somehow, an eraser on the back of the pen so individual things can be removed instead of wiping the whole screen. It would also make a HUGE difference if the lock didn't just protect from erasure but also from further writing/marks. Carrying or moving it and scratches and marks can get all over the screen. In general, love it and use it everyday.
