With this DSP you can control and select from each 4 single rca inputs all the outputs, you can select a right, left or mono channel for each channel, it has a complete equalizer for all channel in common and has a parametric equalizer for each channel. I can say is the best DSP I’ve tested in my last 20 years, the time correction is one of the best, when you are beginning with this DSP one of the best functions is you can turn off all channel and only test one at a time, I recommend this DSP a lot, small, lightweight, and work perfect!

This is not the greatest DSP you will find, if you have a bigger budget find something else!But if you want a budget DSP with a few advanced functions this DSP is incredible.My favorite thing about this DSP is the 8 ADDRESSABLE EQ bands you get for each of the 6 output channels.Meaning you can program in 8 specific frequencies for the 8 band channel EQ. I’ve seen this on newer, really pricy processors so the fact that this cheap little processor offers this is amazing!My highs are Old School HLCDs and they need ALOT of help from an EQ. This let me pick specific frequencies to target so I could EQ my horns properly. You also have adjustable Q factor for each band! Another thing I only see on high end modern DSPs.LOTS of crossover filters! Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley, & Bessel! This was super fun to play with and gave me a lot of tuning control for my HLCDs and 10” midrange doors!If you’re looking for a car audio upgrade and don’t have a lot of $$ to blow and don’t already have a DSP get this!Great starter DSP!

All I can say is for the price you will not find a better DSP unit!!! The unit is super small and easy to hook up. Took a couple tries to get the BT to connect but figured it out quickly. The app interface is really good and straight forward. There is a couple things I would change like being able to link Channels better and easier control of crossover points but once you figure it out it’s not that bad. After a little tweaking it really made my system come alive. The time alignment can make it sound like the vocals are center on the hood. It’s usually tough to get a Jeep to sound good with such a short flat windshield but this unit helps a LOT!!!! The bass is tight and accurate now. With the limiter you can attack the desired frequency before distortion and it protects speakers and your ears. I was going to get the DS18 unit but this one looked like the same thing. I even downloaded both apps and they are almost identical except the colors. You can tell they are the same unit however this unit does not claim to be water resistant. Biggest bonus is this unit is a lot cheaper.As far as sound quality it is excellent. No whine or background noise, no hiss, no pops and no distortion.Highly recommend this DSP unit.

Updating my review after playing with this a bit more. It still adds a slight hiss/buzz to the signal, but turning the input/output gains down via the app (they come defaulted to 0db) to about -5 kills most of it, and turning the amps up to compensate doesn't bring as much back. The app and bluetooth integration is nice, can edit the levels/eq/etc while playing music uninterrupted. It sometimes disconnects/freezes, but hasn't stopped the audio yet, and restarting the app or just clicking around gets it going again. Input routing is a bit different than listed, but mostly a labeling thing, the only combo routing in the app is A+B and C+D (which mixes the red and white RCAs together, vs red+red, white+white).

Probably the best decision I've made this year!Just made my whole setup come to life!Easy to use, and a great quality product.Such a steal for this price!

This is a direct knockoff of the hki mini dsp wich is $300 VS this one is barely over $100.Software is identical. I can't tell any audio difference. Only difference so far is price. Dsp software wise is working perfectly. Eq set, gains set, delay, crossovers. No complaints here yet.I tried the ds18 version of this dsp before and had absolutely horrible sound and clipping at any volume. I may have had a defective Ds18 dsp but I tried the other style Ds18 dsp and had exact same audio distortion and clipping issues.Never had any audio issues with the hki mini dsp or this expert X8air dsp either

I have a very nice setup in my 2024 EV6. I've installed Focal speakers powered by Alpine amp. I have Kicker sub powered by CT Sounds Mono. The installation is very clean with added sound dampening and speaker rings for optimum sound quality. The sound I was getting was amazing as it was. I didn't think this DSP would make much of a difference over the sound I was already achieving-especially given the rock bottom price. Needless to say, I was wrong. The improvement in the sound quality was eye opening.This unit is one of the only affordable DSPs that have 4 channels in; you won't lose the fade. It's ap is very easy and intuitive. Installation and setup was a breeze.Overall, you can't go wrong with this DSP.

Using it to balance and flatten home theatre subs (dual klipsch 12swi). pristine, clean true parametric eq, limiter and gain staging. Love this unit.
