This Spider Farmer plant stand is engineered to perfection. It was easy to put together, and yes the screw holes line up every time. I was able to put it together by myself in about 30 minutes without any extra tools or clamps to hold it in place. The directions were excellent and easy to understand. The stand is durable and I love the fact it has locking wheels so I can move it around my greenhouse.

Love this Cart . Very well engineered . Sturdy , Tall , and portable . Works well with the Spider Farmer SF600 lights or the T5 jumpstart 4 footers . A little on the expensive side as the lights add to the cost. Its the only thing keeping me from buying more of them as I could really use a few more .

Several years ago I purchased a condo that has a den - without windows. I hadn’t been able to make the room into anything useful. It is small, dark, and very uninviting. In the meantime, I started a small collection of orchids but was running out of room in front of my living room windows. It occurred to me that I could solve two problems by using my den to grow plants under lights and Spider Farmer had a stand that looked like just what I needed.And it is…except that it doesn’t come with a top shelf and I found that I really needed the space as storage. I contacted the company and asked to purchase an additional tray which would have solved all my problems. After much foot dragging, the representative finally agreed to send me an additional tray and at no cost. She asked only that I be patient since they had no trays in stock. And this dragged on and on and on. If she just said, that they would not provide me with a tray, I would have returned the shelf and purchased something different . But, I kept on getting promises.Now it’s six months later and too late to return the unit. All I got from Spider Farmer was lies. The product is fine but if you run into a problem, don’t expect customer service. There are plenty of companies that value their customers. Spider Farmer is not one of them!

I am impressed by this plant stand. It is well-made and I was able to assemble it without assistance. Very sturdy with strong casters. The lights are easy to attach and adjust. I picked this product hoping the lights would not be difficult as several other products, including those available from gardening stores, had comments about problems adjusting lights.

I had high expectations for this unit and while the idea is great the execution is poor. First the product arrived damaged. Most of the unit is packaged well but the corners of this heavy package are not well protected. I had one full shelf that was bent on multiple sides. Many of the parts (Shelves) had chipped paint from the powder coating finish. The unit comes in around 30 small parts and is constructed from the bottom up. I assume the tiny parts are meant to make packaging more efficient and compact for a package that ships from China. The vertical metal members as well as the shelves are made of thin metal and easily bent by hand so not very durable and unlikely to support very much weight. I'm pretty handy so the build was easy - def recommend using a drill as a manual Allen wrench would be insanely inefficient and likely take hours. After contacting customer support about the damage they get back to you in a few days and are not very helpful. Jenny offered me $15 back for the damaged shelf and all the chipped paint - laughable. This unit has many features I like - full mobility with smooth locking casters was key for me. The other great feature is the waterproof shelves and the eyelets to hang the lights from. Over all this unit is way overpriced at $250 especially when arriving damaged. I decided to keep the unit rather than sending it back and have made the repairs to the shelves and will deal with the chipped paint over most of the shelves. I have other friends that have purchased many units and they confirm that all units except for 1 arrived damaged. The conclusion here is buy this unit if you are okay with an over priced unit that will likely arrive damaged. Had there been no damaged and support any good my rating would be higher but under the circumstances I we are at 2 stars overall. Happy growing!

If you understand what you're getting, this is a high quality, well-executed piece of kit. If you do get this unit, make sure to pair it with either dimmable LEDs or relatively low output fluorescents. And definitely don't get the Spider Farmer kit that includes 3 non-dimmable SF600 high-output LED grow lights.The mounting points for the light hangers are too far apart and make it impossible to raise the lights heigher than about 5" from the bottom of the shelf above. Combine this with non-dimmable high output lights and you end up with burned seedlings starting from about week 4. Bottom line, next season I will be looking for a shelving option that has adjustable height shelves and that allows for mounting the lights flush or nearly flush to the bottom of the shelf above.

awsome rack overall but don't lose a screw assembling this thing because it comes with just enough screws and no extras. Mines missing a few unfortunately
