Piece of junk

Working in a G16A cart but required both the A (Starting) and F (Charging) leads to be reversed and needed to use the old connector for the charging leads... but it is working. Bolted up without issue but noticed engine spinning backwards, read about the issue online and quickly determined the A leads (bolts on the end of the started) needed to be reversed. Checked charging with VOM and noticed they also needed to be reversed (smaller green and red leads with the white plastic connector). Once modifed, charging at 13.8VDC and starts without issue.

Great replacement

This is a ‘generac’ rebuild, the first one I received was defective and tried to contact seller but to no avail. Amazon came to the rescue and issued a return (no cost) and a replacement that arrived within 24 hrs. The replacement started out with a few problems. First, it was rotating the wrong way and the fix was to reverse polarity-that worked but it was not charging the 12v battery in my Yamaha 2015 golf cart. With some research on line it was a common problem the needed two additional wires switched. That worked and so far so good but the seller was not helpful.

This starter generator, as it is set up, is not for a Yamaha golf cart. The red/green wire connector DOES NOT FIT Yamaha connector. Also, It is wired to turn clockwise. Yamaha starter generators turn counter clockwise. I don’t know why the company calls themselves “Parts World USA” because the product comes from INDIA.
