Philips Original Espresso Machine Descaler - Decalcify Espresso Makers, Prolong Machine Lifetime (CA6700/10)

I purchased this as it seems to be made by the same people as the L'or branded descaler but was cheaper and easier to order.It seems good quality and worked as expected. I just diluted with water and used the automated descaling setting on my machine and all went off without a hitch. Seems to be enough for two descalings so should last a year or so. The descaling light went off so I can only assume it worked well!

It appears to descale the machine, and the warning light goes out afterwards. I always rinse more times than is suggested though, to make sure all residue of the chemical has gone.

I don't know if there are better or worse products, but this being recommended means someone (Philips) is making money - but as long as price is reasonable AND it does that's supposed to do well, then it's a good product.Using it is dead simple, and the process is fairly quick.
