The ratchet makes the job so much easier.
They are great, really sharp easy to use with the shape of the grip, now all plants are ready for the spring except hydrangeas which I can’t prune for a few weeks. Most important is the ratchet as I have arthritis in my hands .

Really helpful if you are our and don’t have a lot of strength
These are very useful especially the ratchet bit . Worth paying the money for as can chop through quite thick stems .

Nice & sharp
Decent clippers however there advertised as easy use for people with weak or small hands. Not as easy to use as my partner thought

Easy to use
Really excellent for pruning, very sharp and work on relatively thick stems with ease. Also good for weaker hands as very little pressure needed to prune. I would recommend these, an excellent gardening tool.

If you have small hands don’t buy these
I searched on Amazon for secateurs for small hands. These appeared to fit the bill so I ordered themI was upet to find1) they are really heavy2) they are difficult to unlock/open the locking slide very stiff3) there are no extra oilingg sponge in the pack, they are advertised as having these4) the packet they are in was not sealed the secateurs could fall out easilyI haven’t used these they are just too big and heavy, sad really when I specifically searched for pruners for small handsEssentially they are useless for me, I will return them or find someone with bigger hands
