When I bought a bean to cup machine, a friend highly recommended getting a CoffeeVacAs a neat storage for beans after opening the sealed bag works very well, but the addition of the vacuum seal works very well to maintain bean freshness & a definite worthwhile additionI thought it was a gimmickI was wrong!

This is the third coffee vac l have bought. We have 2 of the 1lb capacity - one for stronger coffee & one for milder coffee. We also have a half pound one, to keep a small supply of decaffeinated in.The vacuum works beautifully, keeping the coffee fresh for weeks. There is no taint from the plastic either.My tip - Each time l refill, l clean the vac and then smear a VERY thin layer of cooking oil around the top of the canister. This helps the lid slide on easily when the vacuum button is pressed. I think It also helps to create a seal.

Bought this to replace a tin I had that you needed a pump to extract the air - a palaver. This is straightforward and just works; just press the button and push down . It makes buying the very large coffee beans in bulk more attractive as they store perfectly. You get that wonderful fresh coffee smell when you need to open it.

Nice size, good vacuum, keeps my ground coffee fresh. Pleased with it will purchase another one.

I'm not sure what they meant by vacuum sealed but it has a valve in the lid that you have to press to close or open the container, The lid is a precision fit & needs to be vented to open or close the container. That said it is an airtight fit but no vacuum involved unless you try to open it.At rest the pressure inside is the same as ambient if you try to open it without operating the valve then in effect, you create a vacuum inside which will prevent opening it. Is that what is meant by vacuum sealed? Unlike some coffee containers, there is no vacuum pump so the coffee is at room air pressure just very well sealed in! That said it is an excellent coffee storage container, just not vacuum!

While the product does create a good vacuum which is definitely a tight seal, if you're moving it around a lot it will get pretty scratched and beaten up quite quickly as the build quality isn't the best.Despite the huge crack in mine (I bring it everywhere with me for... supplies) it still keeps a decent airtight seal, and so I'm pretty pleased with it!

Keeps my coffee beans in good dry condition. Easy to remove and fit the lid and has good design aesthetics.
