I love this umbrella. Originally bought for cosplay, I now use it whenever I get the chance! I absolutely love the wood handle, and the mechanism works flawlessly. The whole thing is very sturdy although I haven't used it in strong wind as of yet. Very good price for the quality, usually I end up buying the £5 collapsible kind and they always break within a few week. So I was really happy to see that for the same price, I could get a much stronger, sleeker one. I don't mind carrying around the much bigger umbrella, but in general I'd say its the kind you'd want to keep in your car 'just in case' as it can be a bit clunky to carry around day to day. (But that's true of all full-sized umbrellas.)All in all, very stylish & sleek, and a great quality product!

Feels and looks good quality. Keeps off the rain. Though I can't rate it on how resilient it is in the wind. I prefer to use a hood on windy days... Too many inverted brollies)

A lightweight standard brolly, big enough for two adults to shelter under, this has a good canopy with eight spokes.Measures 34" from handle to ferrule, it weighs around 400g.The handle is wood, as are the tips that trim the ends of the spokes - the ferrule is wood, painted black at the tip to only resemble a rubber tip. It really does need a 10mm rubber ferrule, I got some off Amazon, they're only a couple of quid.Canopy material is polyester, so will keep a shower off during a short walk, but unlikely to afford much protection during a prolonged downpour.There's no wind vent at the top, so would be nbg in a blow, unless you wanted to end up in Sweden, but using this in a windy downpour would wreck the brolly - it's for light use only.But for all that, it's a decent brolly for the price - it opens up well at the touch of a button, closes easily and secures with a Velcro tab.I bought this for the holiday cottage so that guests could stay dry if they were nipping up to the local pub for a pint if it's raining. I used to supply collapsible brollies, but they kept going home with the visitors, so I've got this one that will live in the coat stand in the hall.I can't give it five stars, because I haven't seen how much abuse it will take. I'll update in due course, but it seems absolutely worth its money at current price.

My husband said he didn’t believe the price I paid for the umbrella as the material is such good quality. But as a thank you gift for a neighbour so not had occasion to use yet

Broke on first use. Not fit for purpose - the slightest puff of wind and it gets blown inside out. This happened twice in two minutes use. Several spokes broke at the join and they popped out of the fastening to the edge of the umbrella. Nice wooden shaft, spoiled by otherwise rubbish quality. Other reviews were quite good but don't be fooled. Don't buy this unless you want to get wet. I'd have thought a well known brand like mountain warehouse would be capable of making a brolly fit for the British weather. Apparently not. I'm going to get a cheap plastic Macintosh or poncho.

Poor quality product to be honest. Not very sturdy, as one strong gust of wind is all it took to completely destroy the umbrella. I got a maximum of 9 uses out of it before it broke.
