`more versatile than you think
`The uses described here tend to be for appliqué. It can be used to attach paper to other sheets of paper- See `Titchner book about building up surfaces for machine embroidery - tearing up pieces of paper (including newspaper) and painted, and laying them criss-cross and interweaving them and making several layers. Seeing this `i now use it to fix card when mounting prints, and to wood or thick cardboard- making personalised jig-puzzles for people with dementia - much better finish as smoother than using Pritt stick and the edges less likely to lift. When Corvid-19 lockdown was introduced I got in store as I knew I would use it in some way, and be very frustrated if not available. it is the first time Have bought this brand - just as a trial - size- length and role rather than square more convenient, `price very fair,In use it is very similar, except what `I have found is that the backing paper is shine and seems to peel off easier.Would I buy it again; normally I cross the road so no postage, and this would be the deciding factor , both procducts work in the same way and very similar in end resultHow it works - the glue is in a sheet of backing paper , Putt the rough, glue side down on area you want to transfer you want to transfer the glue on to. Most important you protect your ironing board cover and iron sole plate with some of the used backing paper or similar. Then using your iron melt the glue so it sticks more easily to the substrate than the backing paper. Let it cool (don't hurry it!) and you can peel off the backing sheet. You then put the top surface you want to glue on to the bottom layer, and do what you did before -(Without the backing sheet of course.)

I was recommended this heat and bond and agree it is much better than its competitor that we all know!!

Great for small sewing craft projects
This is exactly what I wanted for my craft sewing project. I made bunting with my nieces name spelt out across each triangle in a strong contrasting fabric. This is webbing, kind of a iron on fabric glue so you can stick fabric onto fabric. It took me ages to work out what the difference between webbing and interfacing is. Basically with this stuff, the paper has glue on both sides. You draw your image onto the Heat N Bond paper, then you iron it onto the fabric that you want to cut to shape. It will stiffen your fabric slightly just enough so you can cut your shape out easily, now it is ready to be ironed onto your main piece. Just remember that whatever you are tracing, ought to be done back to front. This is the Lite version that you can sew around the shape without it gumming up your sewing machine. If you don't want to sew on top of your applique, you can get the Ultra bond version with red packaging.
