Our dog is a golden-bernese-doodle about 60 lbs, and love this kibble. We generally select a kibble and stick to it. We previously used Solid Gold with other dogs. We like Merrick now, as they have canned foods too, with tons of fun variety to mix in. Our dog is doing well on this, and we don't want to change it.

All this fuss about grains vs. grain free - personally I prefer the grains. Studies (veterinary schools) have been done showing a potential link to the use of grain free (I believe it’s pea proteins, don’t remember) and serious disease in dogs. I have a friend who swears the grain free caused cancer in her dog. While this issue is controversial, I’ve decided to stay away. Merrick makes a good quality kibble.

This food smells good! The kibble size is perfect for my dog's automatic feeder. This is not my pets favorite food because she gets excited but not as excited as with other food brands and flavors she has tried, but it she still eats it happily. I am satisfied!

Our Shih Tzus ate this and seemed to enjoy it, but one dog had horrible gas. I like the quality ingredients, but I just can't justify the price if our pups are having any side effects/digestive issues. One has a sensitive stomach and it's hard to find dog food without tomato which can upset stomachs.

I have a European bred Doberman that has an amazing bloodline - I wanted to make certain that she continued with the food that the breeders used, from Merrick Healthy grains to home made high value training treats. My girl deserves nothing but the best in everything.

I ordered this food for my 50lb Beagle mix and he loves it. The vet says the food is healthy too which makes it even better. They have different varieties to keep it fresh.

My baby love this Merrick, anything Merrick. I tried switching and he would spit the food out.He's a very greedy but picky eater.
