Yes lines in a board are helpful to see a dent but you also need light to see it as well. This light is not strong enough to give you a good view of the dent. The suction arm also spins around and doesn't tighten down causing the board to just fall down and not sit how you set it. Please invest in a better light board.

The suction base works, but is finicky. The light itself is a bit dim. Could use to be brighter and more even across the panel. Still does the job, and is inexpensive.

The power plug broke off at the end almost immediately.

Worked fine for what i needed. The suction didnt hold no matter what i tried. Cable for power is very long. Wish they would give you a plug as well for thr usb. The light is of a stiff plastic. Maybe some rubber on the corners. With the sucrion cup not holding it does fall and will chip and crack the light.

Light not bright enough couldn't see the dents with out pulling vehicles in shop and couldn't see what you were doing with all lights off ,and suction cups will not hold light in place.

Super dim light. Only two LED strips at the edges. Lines don’t even reflect on the paint. Flexible suction arm spins around and doesn’t hold on. Just a terrible scam product.

It’s so bad the light is so dim and this is by far the worst product on Amazon
