Can this knife be used by both left & right handed people?

The version of knife that I bought has the guard on the right. I do not know if there is another version for left-handed people. I say this beause the blade-guide (for sizes) is on the right side, and does not appear to be able to move to the other side. However! for the price, and the value of this product, I would highly recommend getting this anyway, even if you are left-handed, simply because this product cuts through nearly anything with great ease. Just short of using a hot knife on butter!

Can this knife be used for cutting raw and cooked meat?

I've only used it for cutting veggies.

Does guide hit the cutting board preventing the blade from touching. Does it cut all the way through? Does food get stuck between guide and blade?

I love this knife. I use it for meats, cheese, homemade bread, tomatoes and other vegetables I want to slice thin. I’ve never had food get stuck. It does hit the cutting board, but if you simply cut as far as you can, then rock the knife up and use the end that extends beyond the guard, it cuts all the way through with no problem.

Bought as a gift.

This knife and fork is a great gift. Bought it for our Aunt for her birthday and she loves it. Slices almost anything to the thickness you like and keeps the slices a consistent thichness.

The original was great, but got a knock off from "As Seen on TV Products"

Being an owner and fan of this knife from ~15 years ago, I was excited to be getting a brand new one. I purchased this knife from "As Seen on TV Products" on Amazon. This item took over a month to arrive, and appears to be a knock off version. It has the general shape and characteristics of the original, but the blade is incredibly dull while my original version was so sharp I'd often cut myself simply because it slices through whatever so easily. This knife doesn't slice bread, it shreds it. Also, instead of a logo on the knife, it has a gaping hole where one should have been.If you can find the original version, you'll love it!

Slices even thickness, even with hard crusted artisan bread

I bought this knife -with-guide specifically to slice homemade bread. The guide is adjustable in width & I’ve been able to slice evenly through every size loaf, which makes toasting much more successful (no burnt edges). I haven’t tried it on tomatoes or other veggies, as I prefer to slice them on a mandolin. However, it did slice through mostly-frozen ground beef (log-shaped) to make easy hamburger patties. One of my favorite kitchen gadgets.

Great Useful Knife

This is one of my favorite knives. Great to prep tomatoes and onions for sandwiches. Awesome to slice potatoes a uniform size when you want to fry them. Slicing a uniform size is now easy. great for fruits and veg as well as some lunch meats. Most useful.

Does not work as advertised

Trash, that is where it ended up. The guide gets in the way of cutting anything. You can start the cut with the guide but you would need to finish the cut with the tip of the blade. Which you can easily get off from the original starting point. Nice concept but poor design. I think this is the 3rd as seen on TV product that was a complete waste of money. The seller must know it because they didn't even want the product back when they issued a refund.

My husband wanted to cut our Prime Rib slices to a specific thickness, and this worked perfectly. Certainly not just for bread!
