Gravel Vacuum for Aquarium Water Changer Fish Tank Cleaning Tools,Siphon Universal Quick Pump Aquarium Water Changing (50ft)

This has to be one of the best aquarium accessories that I have ever purchased! I recently upgraded from a 70 litre tank to a 255 litre I was dreading doing the water changes as the 70l used to take three to four buckets that I had to transfer to my kitchen, I mean my back isn’t the best on a good day so it was painful and messy with water trailing everywhere! But now I have this water changes are a blast, I performed a 50% water change which took 20 minutes to drain as I didn’t have my tap running whilst it did so, yes it does slow the flow down but I found whilst it was doing its thing I could clean the glass etc. if you would like it quicker then leave your tap running. To fill back up it took 10 minutes I just added prime straight to the tank before the water started and kept checking the water temp as it went! The only thing I would recommend you buy extra is a spring clamp to hold it onto the side of your tank, I got one on Amazon for £3 and it’s very sturdy! Again amazing bit of kit if it broke tomorrow I’d buy another straight away!!!!!

This has made cleaning the tank out so bloody easy it's unreal how quickly it did it. It normally takes me an hour to do it properly. This has saved me the hassle of hand pumping, moving buckets and time. I was able to leave this running and clean all the glass and push any big items of mess towards this to get rid. That and filling up was about 10 minutes. To say I was able to do this in 20 to half an hour is crazy.

This thing is incredible! Water changes are normally a 1 hour 30 ordeal involving fifteen 10L buckets of water, water all over the floor, siphons not working, and profuse swearing. I've gone through 5 different siphons/gravel vacuums and a mains powered pump over the last few years and they were all kind of terrible.This fits right on to our kitchen mixer tap (which has a male screw fitting once you remove the end nozzle from the tap) and works for both emptying and filling the tank. Provided instructions are quite straight forward to follow. My tank is probably 2 feet higher than the tap so the flow rate is sedate, but that is quite nice as it gives plenty of time for vacuuming the gravel. I still did a 50% change of my 125L tank in about 20 minutes.My tip: Buy a washing machine drain outlet hose U bend support and you can hang the pipe over the side of the tank without it falling off. Unfortunately it's a gnats eyebrow too large to fit: But less than two minutes with a file around the inner edge of the join fixed that. I've attached a picture of the result.

So far really liking this as making water changes much easier & no more buckets.The syphon is quite slow & not much suction for debris, but this gives me times to trim the plants and carry out other maintenance.I have 4 tanks, 2 are higher up and it works well, the two small (& lower tanks) it does not really work, so still using a gravel vac to empty, and then refill with the water changer.

Water changes are now a complete breeze. Great piece of kit.

I haven't tried to use it yet but it definitely wasn't new the box wasn't sealed for a start, and the pipe is discoloured brown with a number of kinks in it, hopefully they haven't penetrated through the pipe..I'll update the review once I've had chance to try it.

This is a really simple and easy bit of kit to use, I've been wishing something like this existed for so long and now I've found it. I have my fish tank in an upstairs office and run the 30ft hose all the way to the sink in the bathroom, there's little height difference (but I do have good water pressure), and it works great. Its not got the strongest of suctions for those larger bits of dirt, but saying that I'm now likely to clean my tank more often because it's so easy to do a water change. An upgrade for this product would be additional attachments to get into smaller parts of tank, but again I guess I could just use the hose.

Amazing product... Anyone can use this. Changed my 350l water without damaging any vertobraes carrying 20l buckets back and forth. One thing to watch for is when adding water and opening the valves the pressure can build up fast and blast the siphon off. I just take it off when filling. In the images it says 50ft of tubing. The product I got has around half that which makes the job a bit harder than it should be as I have multiple tanks so I have to switch tap. So much better than manual. Other than the shorter than image hose it's a perfect product.
