Great Buy
I love this mouse. Fits perfectly for my small hands and grip. This has saved my fatigue ever since I bought this years ago. This is my 3rd one for on-the-go, work, and home.

This is my 3rd in 15 years
I get pain in my wrist/elbow/ shoulder every time I increase my hours at work. I've had a workers comp claim and did afew years of a assessment, physical therapy, exercise. This is the answer to alleviating much of my pain! Every 4 years I did find I need to replace it, I'm not really a person who can figure out why, but the buttons don't click every time.I had bought the regular size for the flat two, but this time I did the hand measurement and going the small is better for me. It's been great! Buy one! It takes a while to adjust, but they are built for the direction your wrist moves, regular mice are not!

Learning curve but very helpful
We all spend too much time on keyboards and I am no exception; it is a part of my job. I was getting pain in my right arm / wrist and the doctor recommended a vertical mouse. I really like this one. It fits well in my hand, (the manufacturer website has help for sizing), works well with my laptop and so far the battery life is good. I have not customized many of the buttons since the default actions work. I did have to install the driver and make sure other wireless mice were uninstalled; this is covered in the directions. It is a bit pricey however, to have less pain.... totally worth it. I am not a fan of wires so I paid a bit more. Great mouse for me.

Most ergonomic mouse I've tried
I bought six or so of the most popular vertical mice on Amazon, and I found that Evoluent mice are the most ergonomic and well thought out. For example, you only need slight pressure to click a button, which means less strain on your hand. This version (4) is an older version, but the newer version (D) had a laser sensor that was too sensitive and jittery, so I ultimately chose this version. (If anyone's wondering what improvements the newer D version has, it has indents for your fingers, is less spherical, and has a slippery surface to prevent users from gripping the mouse too hard.)This is a lot of money to spend on a mouse so I don't recommend this mouse unless you noticed your wrists getting uncomfortable with a cheaper vertical mouse. Ironically, after buying this mouse, I started using my trackpad more, and I think that's helped my wrist the most. (I select text frequently, and a three finger drag on a trackpad is less strain on my wrist than holding a mouse button down).

HORRIBLE
I have purchased several over the years.First the mouse drifts all over the place as if you are fighting with the mouse, or someone else is trying to control your mouse. The technology is dated. If you turn the mouse to the bottom side there are several design flaws. You will see 4 "pads" on the bottom, 2 larger on front & back and 2 very small on the sides. Well, if you think about a bicycle with training wheels, it's the same concept, so if you try to move left or right or kitty corner, it's like tipping over. Very straining on the arms. AND over time the pads wear. So, if you imagine your bottom shoes where it wears on one side, guess what... the same idea. Again it makes it very straining on your hands.... like tires wearing out. It's only designed to go forwards and backwards.Second, the mouse drive is so outdated. It has not been updated since 2015 and uses your system application, which it just again fights with each other.Third, Evoluent appears to have minimized cost in material. As mentioned, I have purchased several and the size of the mouse is smaller than in the past. So small the it is at a 90 degree slant and puts strain on your bottom side hand and two smaller fingers. The mouse again drifts so widely and you have to literally move it 5 inches to span your screen. I want minimal movement.NOW, let's talk about the pointer! Ugghhh, the pointer fights with you, it takes forever to "snap" or locate where you are at and drifts all over the place other than where you want it to go..., it again hurts the hand. Tracking is is horrible. WIth technology today, I want something that meets the fast paced environment, not a scooter. This used to be a top -rated mouse, just another pain on your ergonomics.ONE last note. BIGGEST upset... every time I start my computer, the mouse is is not recognized. I have to take out the adapter from the USB port out and re-attach. REALLY? I do not want to wear my USB port out for a dysfunctional operating system. Depending how you connect the USB port to mouse back in, it appears the mouse control ability degrades more than the above mentioned.
