The table is nice looking. I find it a bit higher than it should be but that's probably because of the "hidden" storage compartment. BUT - assembly is a nightmare. It's made entirely of cheap particle board. The instructions are pictures only. The springs to lift the top are very heavy and impossible to install without two very strong people to stretch them. (And screwed into particle board, so I don't expect it to last long.) I would not recommend to anyone.

There is a lot of product being sold on Amazon that the MFRs are clearly trying to put out products as cheaply as possible. One way they do this is to make things sized for children. This coffee table is about the height of a normal coffee table when the top is extended. It would be too much of a pain to send back, so I feel stuck with it. At least I can leave a review so the rest of you know what you are getting. This stuff is sized for children not adult Americans. Other than that it is probably fine.Added more pictures so you could compare a normal sized coffee table to this product. This is compared to a small euro style couch. This table is the same height as a foot stool for my recliner chair.Amazon should be ashamed to be selling products like this.

Very good coffee table. This is just what I was looking for. The instructions to assemble the table are not quite clear, but there are not too many parts, therefore it is just intuitive to assemble. Once completed, the table is not too big, but this is exactly what I was looking for since it is replacing another table that it was just too big for my space. Table is sturdy, and it looks nice with the rustic style. No problem lifting and lowering the tabletop. Once the tabletop is up, it keeps there safely with no issues, and it is easier to lower down again. Convenient hidden storage compartment to keep your laptop for example, or whatever you need to store.

I had a light coffee table that my husky pup could easily butt out of the way. She can nit move this table. Screw holes at the side do not have caps. Table looks unfinished. The stickers are so firmlycset on the table took a lot if effort to get off. Still working on it. Why I gave 4 stars not 5

I Love my table and am using it right now to write this review. I have limited space and this is the perfect solution. I watched the video and the assembly was easy. I used a screwdriver bit in my drill, which I highly recommend. I put 2 pieces on backwards and had to undo, then redo them, but other than that the assembly was very well explained.
