Increase your ripping capacity.
When you can't buy one of those green tool track saws, getting a long guide is the next best thing. I purchased the Bora 50" clamp guide at Lowe's along with the saw guide that rides on the track. The saw guide is useless on my Ryobi 18+ cordless saw as the battery cannot be changed without unscrewing the plate and realigning it every time. So I never used the plate. But the 50" clamp guide was too short to rip a sheet of plywood. So that's where this item comes in handy. You mush already have a 50" Bora clamp guide rail, this item just extends it to 100" capacity. I used this for 2 months while I built a building in my back yard. I made hundreds of rips and cross cuts with this product. It worked flawlessly and was easy to line up. Just measure from your circular saw blade to the edge of the saw guide and add that measurement to all of your cuts them line up the clam and push the clamping mechanism down and rip a straight line with ease. This system is my go to system to quickly break down plywood for woodworking projects. I get straight cuts with ease. The extension comes with 2 aluminum prongs and screws that fit snugly into the 50" clamp guide. You use 4 screws to attache the guide and you have just extended your guide from 50" to 100". The clamping system slides easily and works flawlessly together. One flaw with the red plastic cap on the opposite end of the clamp mechanism. You have to remove this to install the extension. When you do this be careful as you can damage the plastic tabs and it will continuously fall off. I think Bora could do better with this piece than it has. But ti doesn't affect how the clamp works just keeps the sliding clamp piece from falling off all the time.If you have the Bora 50" clamping guide, this is an excellent extension to the tool.

Great idea and great product, very solid
I have owned this clamp for just over 4 months now. Prior to that, it was something I had always thought about when I had to make a cut. I went through the normal drawing the line and trying to cut straight free-handed. I would use c clamps to clamp a piece of wood, ruler or level on top of the piece I was cutting as an edge guide. The free handed cuts never cut as straight as I had hoped. The c clamps would leave marks and took a while.Enter the Bora 543050 WTX Clamp. It is very easy to lay down on a 4x sheet, make your measurement and clamp it down. It has not left a mark on wood and I have been using it on ~ 20 sheets of drywall over the past week and it is working out perfectly for that. Loosening the clamp is simply raising the lever and you can pull it right off. The grip section of the clamp does a good job of holding it in place and I have not had the clamp budge once.If I had to give one suggestion, it would be to either make the grip sections adjustable (to go up and down) or to have the grip very thin and extensions. The one problem I have come across is when I have a sheet of drywall laying on top of another sheet of drywall, if the 2 are not lined up exactly, then the grip section protrudes below the 1st sheet and will not let the clamp lay down flat, but is instead sitting 1/4" above. This is an issue when I'm trying to make a cut, but the blade can slide under the guide. Other than that, it is great.

Light weight.
Good for beginners. Clamps not as strong as higher priced tools.

Great tool for professionals and DIY folks.
I've read negative reviews on this item due to the length of the clamps but that is just nit picking. When ripping any large sheet of plywood you have a few choices, put the sheet on saw horses and either adjust your cutting depth to perfection or saw into your saw horses or use pieces of sacrificial wood. Since I am of slight build I like to rip my plywood on the floor so I developed a very simple 2 part jig using blocks of wood that I was lucky enough to find were part of a pallet I picked up at the dump. I purchased two 10' 4x4's that were far from perfect so I got a good price for them and simply attached them with carriage bolts (counter sunk) to the blocks. I drop my plywood on the floor or even the ground (as level as available) when necessary and lift one side and slide my jig under one side and then under the other. I then set my cut line and attach my cut guide and clamp it down and make my cut. I was lucky enough to have spare pieces and I use those so the board doesn't collapse downward too much as I get far into the cut but I won't get into that. Use your imagination folks. That is why we have them. Don't complain, find a solution to, what to me was, a minor issue.

my New Favorite Tool
I write this review because the case to buy based on aggregate reviews was not compelling, but my experience if off the charts good. No, it does not square itself, and, no, it does not make coffee. But it does what it does very well. I am legally blind, but still like to dabble with woodworking projects. Last night, in the dark on my patio, I used the Bora 50" edge guide to cut two sheets of hardboard wainscoat and two sheets of melamine mdf in about 30 minutes. The clamp holds fast on 3/16" hardboard and 3/4" melamine mdf with no problems. My only problem was I can only reach 48" and my melamine sheets are 49" wide.I have not used the previous model, but I understand from other reviews it can cut angles up to 22.5 degrees. This model will not. And I did find the process of squaring my cuts to be iterative, requiring maybe 4 iterations to get both ends properly positioned. But this is infinitely better than using my QuickGrip clamps and a 2x4. This is my new favorite tool. And this current model is 20% less costly than the previous model. I'd say this is good value. Buy it with confidence, even though it only rates 3.8 stars.
