Update July 12, 2024The seller reached out and offered to replace the filter I had that was already almost half used up when installed and the new filter did not have the same problem.==============Just replaced the filter with a new one into the RO filtration system, the installation was relatively easy and it had instructions on how to get it up and running. However, once I booted up the RO machine, the replacement indicator is already showing that the filter life is 5/8 way down. I thought it was going to correct itself after a few uses but no, it just continued to run down as if I had a half used filter, I have no idea why because the filter came in sealed with plastic wrap and it is the same brand and model as my RO system.

After owning these RO systems for over a year, I've changed my mind about these systems. At less than one year, the PPA filter need replaced. That was easy. Getting the system timers and notification to reset became a challenge on all 3 systems. It took days and 6 times each to make it work. And I'm a technician. A truly terrible situation. A month ago my system started to randomly run for 5 seconds. It got to where this was happening every 20 minutes. The faucet dripped in between. It took 6 emails back and forth to be told my system was out of warranty and they did not have a replacement faucet to sell me. My original email had the date of purchase on it, how it was the faucet issue and whether I could buy a replacement. For a few emails it appeared they would replace it free, as the system was less than 18 months old. Nope! I was told to buy one somewhere else. I did.Given my experience with Ice Pure after the sale my recommendation is NOT TO BUY A RO SYSTEM FROM ICEPURE. 2023The cost of filter and RO replacement was the number one factor in these purchases. The ease of replacing filters came next. Installation is not as easy as most RO systems since these require 120 VAC. On two installs I had to rewire the spare outlet originally for the garbage disposal to be hot all the time. That is an additional step in the install process.Also, you CANNOT use this system with an ice maker. It does not have a reservoir tank for volume and cycles on/off too much while the ice maker valve opens and closes. I have thought about trying to add a tank (from my old system) but I lack the room needed under the sink.Would I buy a fourth system? That depends on my need to feed an ice maker in the future. They have worked great for my daughter's family, my girlfriend's family and me. 2021

I have had this product for about two years now and love it. The faucet has developed a slow leak (perhaps a half cup per day. I am pretty handy and have tried to figure out what I need to do to repair the faucet, but cannot figure it out, and have found no help whatsoever online. Customer service at IcePure provided an intial response asking for my order number and a video, but then went dark (i.e., no further comms). If anyone is concerned with eventual wear and tear and inability to repair a simple leaky faucet and getting no help, I would consider other options.
