Speedo Kids' Begin to Swim Flotation Classic Life Vest UPF 50

Excellent life jacket. My nearly 40lb two year old was afraid of the lake in her water-wing style floatation vest because it restricted her arm movement so much. This was a game changer, she’s more confident in the water and having fun this summer while I feel less worried about potential drowning. It fits well, it’s soft, and she gets excited to put it on, which is the most important part because the best floatation device on earth doesn’t work if the kid won’t wear it.

If you’re in a lake or a pool if you jump in, you’ll just stay under for less than a minute then come straight up. You can adjust the strap on the bottom so it doesn’t give your kid a wedgy you’re super cute designs. They’re really really good for swimming, but not for tubing.

Great little swim vest. My son is 3.5, 34 lbs and it fits him perfectly. Not a lot of room to grow but works for this summer. I like this one because the shoulders don’t ride up on either side of his face when he’s in the water like the other life jackets I had for him. He’d have irritation from them but not with this one. It of course has less buoyancy than a traditional life jacket so when he jumps in he goes under the water but pops right back up. The other ones would prevent him from going under when he jumped in. So if your child is around the same age/weight and doesn’t like going under the water, keep that in mind. This may also be because of his weight so a smaller child may not have this issue. It’s not as issue for us because it keeps him afloat while in the pool and I feel very comfortable knowing he is safe with it on. Plus he loves going under water.

This is great but rubs up on my child’s armpit a bit giving her a rash.

Fit my 2.5yo great with room to grow. I love that it gives her more free movement with her arms and after a couple short sessions she’s already doing so well with swimming!

Got these for my niece and nephew who are 4 and 2. They are perfectly designed for small children. I was afraid my two-year-old nephew would be afraid to get in the pool but due to the floatability and buoyancy of the vest, he felt safe and I didn't have any issues. The vest’s design makes it easy to put on and take off. The vest are durable and I’m sure we get a lot of life out of them.

Soft, well-made, and comfortable, good quality and design.Durable construction and a safety closure helps secure the zipper. After almost a year of occasional use, it remains as good as new.
