This cutter is extremely nice. Im am very pleased with my purchase. Ive used it on about 30+ cigars in the last 3 weeks and it seems to be breaking in nice. It cuts with what seems like lazer like precision with each cut getting easier. The lever operates smooth and closing the cutter feels satisfying. This cutter will literally make your cigars tast better. It’s like using cheap chefs knives to cook then one day buying a nice Shun, or Bob Kramer knife. I can almost guarantee that you too will love this cutter. The carbon fiber and polished stainless looks awesome . The only problem with this cutter is now i want more. And at $55 off retail price you can almost afford another.

I love this cutter! Twin moving razors make it difficult for even an occational smoker or newbie to crush the cap. I still haven't tried it with anything beyond a 54 ring gauge. However the hole diameter is 20mm on the interior...plenty of space!!! But this does bring me to one of two points about this that were a little unexpected. The physical dimensions of the cutter are smaller than I thought. Height is 4.0", width at the wings (closed) is 1.75", (open) is 2 5/8", thickness including the stud is 3/8". This isn't an issue but it was just unexpected. Next is mechanics...it works! There is just the slightest ammount of play with the wings when open but although detectable it doesn't cause any issues. The cutter does lock (automatically) when both blades close. It will not lock if just one is closed. And as you would expect, the blades are spring loaded. I'll be honest, I would've preferred that the lock was manual, but still the fact that both blades have to be closed before the lock engauges shows quality craftsmanship IMHO. Fianlly is form, the oblong shape feels good in the hand and gives you plenty of control. The carbon fiber covers on the wings are full thickness wrapping and encasing the back edges of the blades. They look great!!! And the faces have that classic cabon fiber woven texture. The sides are smoothed but still have a slight graininess to them as to be expected from CF. All-in-all I'm very pleased with this cutter!

I love this cigar cutter. I like the weight and feel of it. It is excellent quality and should remain sharp for quite some time. I especially like that once you have selected where you want to cut your cigar tip it doesn't slip at all. Automaticly locking closed is a nice feature. I find myself opening and closing it a few times to clean it off, each time. No complaints. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.

I currently own a Xikar Xi1 Titanium cigar cutter and feel the cutter is very good quality and provides a clean and undamaged cut to the cigar. The cost of this cutter was $32.I needed another cigar cutter for travel. I ordered the Xikar Xi3 Titanium Black cutter at a cost of $89. I expected the Xi3 to be superior to the Xi1 considering it is Xikar's premium snap type cutter.The reality is the Xi3 does actually have a solid one piece stainless steel cutter body (which is good) compared to the sandwiched 3-piece aluminum frame on the Xi1. The disappointment surrounds the blades. The Xi3 and the Xi1 utilize the same Xikar cutting blades.At nearly three times the cost of the Xi1, I had expected the Xi3 to have upgraded cutting blades.I feel the Xi1 to be the better value due to the cutting blades being the same as the Xi3 and 1/3rd of the cost.

Bought in 2012, pictures taken in 2023. Little scrathes in the polished stainless as you'd expect from something that rides in a pocket but still cuts like a champ hundreds of cigars later. It has gone up in price quite a bit in the intervening years but worth the premium if you are a fan of the look of carbon fiber given the longevity. Can't say that for many other products these days sadly.

I love my cigars, and as such, I want a clean end cut for my torpedoes. This cutter not only looks cool, but cuts cleanly and accurately. I bought the version with the carbon fiber clips, and along with the sharkskin sheath, looks terrific when I pull it out to offer it to someone. This is a much better tool than the traditional guillotine or bayonet cutters, and can be returned to Xikar for sharpening when it eventually gets dull. What a great gift to give someone (like yourself)! I would highly recommend this.

This Cutter is fantastic. Cuts clean every single time (I have gone through about 10 cigars with it as of this review). It looks good, I have gotten a few complements, and it functions as expected. The warranty is also great and I registered it with the company and they sent me a free sheath that looks pretty awesome. Really no cons at all.

Nichts zu meckern. Sieht fantastisch aus und schneidet scharf. Auch diese kleinen zigarrenbroesel an der schnittkante sind passé. Wem ein cutter das geld wert ist: zugreifen!

Ein wirklich sehr scharfer Cutter. Preis - Leistung super. Kann ich wirklich empfehlen, kein Fehlkauf, durchdachter Mechanismus. Vielen vielen Dank.
