The Milk Is Great but the Cans Are Weird
I would take off one star because unless you are warned or lucky, you can't get these open. But I'm warning you! They are canned in Chile, and after a few batches I can say it was not a freak event that the rims are too thin for what most people consider a normal opener to work. The milk is great. It's the only sweetened condensed milk I can find where there isn't a harder layer on the bottom that the silicone scraper can't dent, and I have to break up with a metal fork. It makes a good dulche de leche, and is necessary to coconut kisses (a 2-ingredient cookie) and no-bake cheesecake (just made some this morning). But when we got them, our normal opener, that unfastens the rim, did nothing--no connection. The hand-held rotary opener, that cuts inside the rim, couldn't get a grip. Neither could our straight-from-the-1970s electric rotary can opener. The only way we could get in was the opener on a Swiss Army knife, that you punch in and slowly lever around the edge. That was rough going. This is the principle of the original can opener. When the rotary was introduced in the early Thirties, it was called The Miracle Opener, it's so much less work (that's from an ad in a period magazine). We found, here on Amazon, a pack of two wooden-handled devices we call the halberds, with a steel loop for leverage on the rim, and a big blade. You still pound the point through the lid then nibble along until you are nearly around. Then you save yourself work by just bending back the lid on what's left. It's the classic cartoon tin can.It can only be used right-handed, cutting counter-clockwise, because of the bevel on the blade (husband is southpaw). The workout is for your left arm, holding down the can. Do not try to get through in big cuts: it goes wrong fast. Nibble, and tilt it a bit to the right (tip from Thirties magazine). Is it worth it? Check your budget and decide. We still buy them.

Tasty Yumminess' In A Can! - BUT Be Careful Who You Buy From!
I ordered 2 cases of the Nestle La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk, 14 oz (Pack of 12).This product, the Nestle La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk, is very delicious!I ordered 2 cases of it because I wanted to use a lot of it for Holiday treats this year.I also use this for occasional sweet flavored coffee drinks. Such delicious, yummy stuff in a can!Sadly I never received my big order.HEADS UP!Do not buy from seller - "Royal Sweets Dist"! - They have too many very ODD shipping issues! The product keeps disappearing from USPS tracking in New Jersey!USPS Postmaster said it looks like a label gets made, but no actual package is even sent!Is It A Scam???Update 12/23/2023:So.... The package of my order of 2 CASES of the Nestle La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk finally arrived today! The box was totally trashed and mostly empty! Maybe 3 or 4 cans left in it?It got here 25 days after it was shipped by PRIORITY MAIL! What a joke that is!I ordered 2 cases of the Nestle La Lechera, which equals 24 cans of this product! What I got a totally trashed box delivered to me by USPS, that had been taped and re-taped several times by the USPS!What happened to all the other cans of the Nestle La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk missing out of the box???My guess is that USPS workers helped themselves to the loose cans, as the package went through each stop on it's extremely slow journey to me!Whomever packaged this order put it in a super flimsy box that was not taped very well.By me trying to save money with what I thought was a very good deal, I lost close to $60 with this order!OUCH!Seller was totally NOT helpful.So... I REFUSED this trashed-up package and it is now back on its way to the SELLER!HAPPY NEW YEAR!- Live and learn I guess. - Be CAREFUL who you buy canned products from!I find it best to ONLY buy canned products now when they are sold by: Amazon.com Services, Inc.UPDATE 12/29/2023:I re-ordered just 1 case of this Nestle La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk, 14 oz (Pack of 12) this time!- AND, I totally made sure it was Sold by: Amazon.com Services, Inc.- I received an undamaged case of this within 10 days!- Perfect product and in time for me to make fudge for my Birthday! YUMMY!Thank you Amazon for saving the day!

Be honest with delivery.
All tins (24) were dented. Package was neat but inside dented tins, unacceptable.

Nestle is terrible, but the sweetened condensed milk is fine
We all know Nestle is an astonishingly bad company, at all levels. However, the sweetened condensed milk is fine. I use a dollop to sweeten my coffee (and sometimes for a Vietnamese cà phê when I want a treat). I use 1-2 tablespoons a day, so I like to have a large backup supply of sweetened condensed milk in my pantry so I don't ever run out.I purchase the can packaging and decant into a squeeze bottle in my fridge for easy dispensing and to reduce plastic waste.Nestle on Amazon is basically the only brand that sells a large pack of sweetened condensed milk for a reasonable price, so I buy it (while hating myself just a little for patronizing a terrible company).
