Great pen, but the top does not stay firmly on when placed on the back of the pen while writing. It has flipped off and gone flying during client meetings.

Normal pen size, high smear resostance, good value, easy to use, nice design, comfortable to use.

I just received my new pen and started trying it out right away. The ink cartridge would slide back in the barrel while writing but not far enough that it didn’t write. The problem was that when I would lift the pen to make another mark the cartridge would slide back out and mark the paper before I could lift it. If you look closely in the first picture you can see little scratchy marks. I tore off a tiny piece of tissue and stuck it down the barrel and it was enough to tighten up the cartridge and now it writes well. That is in the second picture. You shouldn’t have to put Kleenex in the barrel of a new pen for it to work correctly.Update: Ok, it was my fault. I found the tiny spring in the box that should have been in the barrel. Must have come out when I was inspecting the cartridge. The tissue has been removed, the spring replaced and it writes beautifully. Changing my rating to 5 star.

Nice looking pen that writes well, but the cap doesn’t fit over the opposite side of the pen well at all, which is why it only gets a three star review.

I've had this pen for a two years now, I read the top rated review and I feel it bears clarifying. It's not wrong, but having used the pen for a while I understand better the complaints.If the writing is scratchy, you need to replace the cartridge. That's why there are extra in the box. They don't last forever, but they are cheap. I would guess that you could also use another brand but these worked well for me.The ink doesn't have much of a tendency to smear or bleed and it writes smoothly. I'm not a pen aficionado, I just wanted a fancy pen for doing bullet journaling and this one was perfect. It holds well in your hand.Over time the varnish will wear slightly on the tip.I've included a picture after a year's worth of hauling it everywhere without particular care. On the advice of the original review, I never placed the pen cap on the body.I'm really happy with this pen at this price point.
