Works
We live at the beach in the northeast and jellyfish are an unavoidable part of beach life here. I always throw this in my bag as part of my sting kit and use it at least once a season, usually on a child who has been stung. It seems to work more quickly and is more soothing than other sting relief options. It’s also better than meat tenderizer, which is what our lifeguards often carry with them for stings. Tenderizer stings tender skin more before helping and kids want nothing to do with it. It always makes a bad moment at the beach, a bad day at the beach. I knew there had to be better options. This is the best and we tried several, plus anecdotal and DIY methods that people told us about. Yikes. Do better than me and don’t waste time with those. Buy this. You do have to use a decent amount for instant and continued relief, so it might not go a terribly long way if you make the mistake of jumping in during jelly breeding months. Shipping takes longer than it should, so plan accordingly when you run low. We buy one large bottle a season and that usually works, until this year where it was peak sting season in the ocean and bay during summer camp sessions. My daughters brought this with them and every day I had a parent track me down to find out the name of this product. We did run out after sharing it and I sent them to camp with the swab type sting relief instead. That evening, both children declared the swabs to be inferior and checked the mail everyday for their new Jelly Away to arrive.A few months later, several of us learned the hard way that the sting swab (the kind with the glass vial interior that you break and shake) are indeed nowhere near as effective as Jelly Away when we found ourselves in a jelly nest while diving off St Lucia. Those bad boys had tentacles long enough to wrap all the way around an adult thigh more than once. A few people got stung on their face where masks weren’t covering and immediately reached for my sting kit. Not all sting relief products are alike and I can now verify that this one is the best, by far. When we snorkel with our children, I don’t risk this product being in luggage that may be lost. I always put some in a small, dark colored, tight seal travel toiletry container and throw in my purse. It only takes one sting with an inferior or less effective product to not make that mistake again.

Works great!
My family and I planned a trip to Mexico. Seen a review for the resort we booked saying someone was stung but no one was able to help. Luckily we ordered this before we went cuz my wife was stung twice and this gave her instant relief!

Bottle leaked badly
I kept bringing this along in case I got stung and luckily I didn’t. But now I can’t try it because every time I traveled so much leaked out of the bottle that now it is empty.

Actually works instantly! A must have if you’re going to the beach!
We took a family vacation to Florida this year and I brought this with us as a just in case. I am so glad I did! My son ended up getting stung by a jellyfish and this took the pain from the sting away instantly! We will absolutely be taking this with us for all beach travels in the future.

Good Stuff, Works Fast.
A must have for those beach trips. If you are like me and actually go to the beach to swim, skimboard, etc. then this stuff is a must have as you will almost certainly step on a jelly at some point in time or another. It works well, works fast, and the price is reasonable. I'd recommend it for everyone. (just make sure it is safe for child use before using on the kiddos). Enjoy the beach all!

Does work but......... be careful with the bottle..
I can't speak to the efficacy of the product since I haven't had to use it, but I can tell you that if you put it into a first aid kit you will risk the entire contents of the kit. The bottle I got had (or developed) a hairline crack (just across the right edge of the PET recycle symbol) on the bottom and the2oz that leaked out of the 4oz bottle ruined about $200 worth of supplies. Just a warning to anyone using it in this way to pack it into a waterproof container before putting it with anything else. To the manufacturer: Consider a less brittle and more durable container.A little 3M marine sealant around the bottom cured the crack, but I still don't trust it. It lives in a freezer weight zip-loc bag.Edit(6/20)-. Raised rating to 5. Had occasion to use it on two children age 6 and 9 who tangled with lion's mane jellyfish (see photo). They stopped crying in approximately 1-2 min. A few days later I asked them what they thought of this product, so the 5-star comes from them.
