Yes it will. I use it along with my daughter.

I bought this for my sons who have curly hair. It doesn't hold the hair down but it keeps it moisturized and soft. Just a little goes a long way.

Q: will this make my straight hair curly?

It depends on the texture of your hair. Ideally its to help moisturize the hair. I use it on my daughter's naturally fine curly hair. It helps to define and keep her curls moist.

Q: Is this ok for an 8 month old? My baby has very dry hair.

Yes I started using this on my son when he was 6months old. I wasn't ready to cut his hair and needed a way to moisturize and maintain a little style with his full head of wild hair. Hope this helps.

Smell was off!!!!

Idk if the seller gave me an expired hair cream or what. The smell was really off! I just used it now since i have to finished the the old bottle. The smell was like oil in mechanical! Seriously! Ew! The bottle was an old design. I didn't think much of it since i knew cantu changed their design but not the smell!!!!
