Brilliant As Much Needed Support
Extra Long Size Purchased. I'm 5ft 5in and 12st 8lbs and had no idea what size I needed, other reviewers proved unhelpful as they all seemed to disagree about size to buy for height and weight of patient so I played safe and bought the extra long fully expecting to have to chop a bit off the bottom. Not so, below the handle the shortest setting seemed to be right for me. Above the handle was already set at the shortest setting and I found that the next setting up giving that bit of extra length was better for me. They are extremely easy to adjust once you twig that the buttons that go in the holes are actually both sides of the crutch not just one, and of course have to be squeezed together so you can twist and pull the tube to the desired setting. I've never in my life used crutches before so it took me a few minutes to get the hang of them but now I have, the huge difference they've made in helping me to get about indoors and do the most simple things has been a huge help and relief. One thing I would say is be absolutely sure you are within the weight range advised for the size crutch you buy or like some people have said, you will break the handles or buckle the tubes. In terms of comfort, the only problems I foresee is pain in the HEELS OF MY HAND if I use them for prolonged periods (You don't realise just how heavy you are until you use the crutches) so I'm going to look into purchasing some sort of pads for the handles. I'm so glad I bought these, I wish I'd done it years ago instead of trying to muddle on and cope. Quality of the item is excellent and I really can't find any faults at all, Well done to 'Coopers' for a well made product.

Does the job
I was a bit concerned reading the review with the pictures of the plastic cuff bent back but decided to give these a go anyway due to price and quick delivery. I sprained my ankle and desperately needed to not have to hop everywhere. I didn’t need to worry about the cuff as I’m only 5’2” and so the shortest setting on the cuff to handle bit is just right for me. So I don’t need to extend the upper plastic part out - it only has 4 holes anyway and the horseshoe clip which holds the adjustment seems pretty sturdy. The moulded handles feel like they’re meant for bigger hands but it’s comfortable enough for short distances. I’ve never had crutches before. Walking on crutches is so much more tiring than I thought! These do the job and I’m happy with the purchase.

better spec than expected
I got these because the hospital lost mine while I was in for a few months. They gave me a new replacement pair that are only long enough if i am not wearing shoes, so not practical for leaving the house - which i told them. The hospital said the ones they gave me were the longest they could find in the catalog, but they are the same make as these ones i got from amazon (hhmmm!?). I am 5'11" and i ordered the extra long, just incase, and so if i wear my hiking boots (ankle support for my hypermobility/EDS) i need the extra height. my husband is 6'2" and these are long enough for him at mind extension and i dare say they would fit my brothers that are 6'6". it says the max weight is 160kg on these ones i received and seem very sturdy. they do arrive shortened as much as possible to fit in the box, so i had the husband tug the legs out for me and check everything was ok. The price was really good too (under £16). very impressed. no, they are not as good as my old ones (those were 11+ years old), but they don't seem to make those type anymore. the arm cuffs I am not too sure how sturdy they are, my old ones were metal and plastic joints, not pure plastic. the hand grips on these are ok, I didn't want the type some crutches have with the new type molded hand grip which has to be used specifically for the left or right arm/hand - i tried some in the hospital and didn't like the feel nor the constant need to check if it is a lefty or a righty stick - not practical when you are in a hurry (aka to get to the loo). So if you are taller than the average bear, these should do the trick.

Reasonably priced crutches which proved to be very helpful
I bought these for my husband who has severe arthritis in both legs. He has been using a normal walking stick for some time but lately has sometimes had to use two stick when his arthritis was particularly bad. He really found this awkward and it was impossible to carry anything when using 2 sticks. I suggested he try these crutches, feeling that by fitting around his arm, they would be more secure. He has found this to be the case and he finds them quite comfortable to use. He is also far less likely to drop them. He can even manage to carry some items when using them. I chose this particular set of crutches as they were reasonably priced in comparison with most other brands. I was unwilling to pay a lot for something which I was unsure he would use and find helpful. I have also bought an NRS product before and it was good quality. I also chose this set as they came in extra long. He is 6' 1"" and often finds standard products to be too short. Overall, this was a good buy.

These do the job
Very useful to get these on Prime as my son was sent home from hospital unable to walk with a torn ligament in his foot and hospital didn't lend him any crutches.Brought extra long size as they were only £11 whereas other sizes were double the price. He is 5ft 9/10 and these were fine worn on shortest setting. He's used these daily for 3 weeks now and they seem pretty sturdy even though he hasnt been very careful with them and he's taken them apart multiple times.
