Great fan for what I needed it for
This fan seemed to be good quality and was the exact size I needed compared to the stock fan on a Bull outdoor refrigerator for cooling the condenser on the unit. I have no idea what the noise level was of the original unit as when I arrived to repair the refrigerator the original fan had failed/seized and would no longer operate. I installed this fan and got the results I required as it had excellent air flow, was very powerful, and worked as it should. I am sure the fan is slightly louder than the original fan that was in the unit, as the customer advised it was louder than what he was use to, however being an outdoor refrigerator the noise is not an issue. Overall the fan was great quality and will hopefully give several years of operation. If you are using this in an in home server where you need quietness I would not recommend it, if it is for an application in a server room you will probably not have any issues as there are probably many fans and ventilation operating at the same time. Excellent fan but, very powerful and will do the job and then some, but don't expect silence

Good quality fan that really moves the air!
This fan really moves the air. I purchased it to use in a homemade ozone generator and it works perfectly. It does have a somewhat load roar to it but that doesn't bother me for my needs. You can defintly tell this is a quality made fan. I highly recommend purchasing the plug with the wires that plug into the connector. I thought I could solder onto the plug but there is not enough room so I bought the plug wire from amazon to go on it on amazon search Dayton 3RP10 Cordset, Axial Fan, 24in This fan has a cast aluminum casing very heavy built. I am very happy with this fan I don't think I could have found one as such good quality. I need to mention this fan runs for 2 -3 hours at a time and doesn't get hot.

Good exhaust fan
Used this to replace an exhaust fan in a bathroom. It moves more air than the centrifugal fan it replaced, makes less noise than the fan it replaced, and does not seem to be bothered by the higher humidity of the environment. I have it on a timed circuit so I can let it run for a while afterward to continue venting the room, and it works well to replace the air in the room reasonably quickly. It is not, however, whisper quiet (I got a quieter model first but it did not move as much air as I wanted; this one moves more air but at the cost of more noise). I don't mind the noise since it is quieter than the one it replaced and moves more air, but if you want a nearly silent one, look elsewhere.

Perfect for rack ventilation
I purchased two of these to replace the failing ones in my server rack. As others have noted, they are fairly loud, especially if you're used to PC fans, but no louder than anything else in the rack, so it's not really a concern in this application. The screw holes are a little small, but putting the screws which were already in place in these the first time tapped them a bit and now they operate perfectly. I wired them in parallel into an existing 120v power cord. All in all, great fans for the money and did exactly what I expected of them.

good value
good little fan, use it in a food dehydrator (drilled new holes), wired to the existing switch, and it functions fine for what I use the machine for. moves a lot of air, and is fairly quiet. price was great too.

Axial cooling fan
I use this fan to keep my spectrum equipment cabinet cool. It does not come with a guard so you will need to order it separately.

Works perfectly, for me.
This is exactly what I wanted and exactly what I expected. These are high-speed fans for moving LOTS of air. Yes, you hear them, but they are not all that loud.. it's a little like hearing the tires of a car, on a hot or wet road... mostly, you just tune it out. I run high end graphics, and this has solved a cooling issue I had. only downside is, the holes that you would normally use to screw them on are slightly smaller than the "standard" case-fan holes... normally, this wouldn't be an issue bbut, the frames ARE metal. I simply used a glue-gun in the corners to attatch.. if you REALLY want to use screws, you could simply use machine screws.. probably 10-42 or 10-24, with a nut and washers.

Heavy Duty, High Speed, Hi Volume of Air Moved
I needed to exhaust hot air from a VHF power amplifier that dissipates nearly 500 watts in the tubes. I bought this with the variable speed control cable (fan comes with no cable at all). At full speed the fan is quite noisy, but not because of any design issues or poor constructions, rather it is because it moves a LOT of air. In fact, it moved to much air through the vent holes of the amplifier chassis, that it caused a whistle! This is where the fan speed control cable enters. I adjusted the fan speed just short of the "whistle" effect and it still exhausted plenty of air. That fan is solidly constructed, no vibration whatsoever. It is very well balanced, no wobbling due to blade imbalanced. The ball bearings must be pretty high quality, because it coasts (upon power removal) for a long time.It will even turn with no power applied as a result of the rising hot air from the amplifier's intake fan.In summary:Pro's: Heavy Duty, High Fan Speed, Excellent Construction Quality, Moves a Lot of AirCons: Requires a fan speed control cable or it will be too noisy. Does not come with one.
