I've never done that, but it certainly seems like it would be using the BluOs app.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. The Bluesound Pulse Mini 2i would not currently have a rechargeable/portable battery. Our current integration of the Pulse Flex 2i would have a rechargeable battery. We can always be reached at support@bluesound.com

Q: How easy is this to move around—like from a kitchen to a patio? Does it take a long time to reconnect to the wifi? Any hiccups using this way?

It's not super light, but you can easily carry it in one hand. It is designed to be portable. If you're on the same WiFi network it should be very easy to reconnect, however I haven't really done that yet. Either way, it wouldn't take a long time to reconnect. Less then 5 minutes I imagine.

Yes! Airplay 2 and Bluetooth compatible.
