The description says they are made of wood. But one answer says plastic? Are they wood or plastic? Thanks.

They're wood with a heavy lacquer. One pair I got was bamboo wood and another was a light hardwood, probably ash. I moved to a titanium pair and nicked these to see what they were made of when considering wether or not to buy another pair. I did and have given them as gifts to my friends and family members who appreciate vietnamese food as much as I do.

Yes they are reusable. It's plastic. So just wash them in the sink like regular utensils.

Are the chopsticks themselves metal or plastic?

Definitely not metal. They're either plastic/poly or wood with poly over it. These are my favorite chopsticks. They're excellent quality.
