Grips great and easy to use.
Delivered yesterday and used it today. Grips great, feels sturdy, well made and a pleasure to use. I can't think any filter that has come off easier than this one today (motor was cold) and have been changing my oil for 55+ years. If you want a great tool for the smaller oil filters (2008 Tacoma in my case) grab this one. Cannot say enough good things about this tool. This tool only removes oil filters as you should hand tighten installed filters.

Really great option for removing a stubborn oil filter
I bought a used Toyota Tacoma pickup with the V6 and whoever did the last oil change installed it so tight my oil filter "socket" rounded off the flutes, and the "pliers" would not budge the filter. With the ratchet, this tool would not turn the oil filter eitherI I broke out the 18" breaker bar and with about 30lbs of force (1.5' x 30lbs = 45ft/lbs) I finally got it to turn! I feared the threads of the oil filter housing on my pickup would strip since it took so much force! This tool worked even on that filter after being somewhat damaged by the oil filter socket and pliers. THIS IS DEFINITELY THE BEST OPTION FOR SMALL OIL FILTERS, ESPECIALLY IN DIFFICULT TO REACH LOCATIONS!

Very sturdy tool
I bought this to remove the oil filter on my Harley Road King because of the tight space. I was impressed with it, because whoever put the oil filter on, must have been superman. I needed to use a 1/2 inch breaker bar to get it loose. This filter removal tool is very sturdy. Give it try.

works great
this works great it has never slipped off the only problems i had with it is the spring fell out of place once and on overtightened oil filters it will get stuck on the oil filter

Bought on rave reviews
This is almost worth what I paid for on this filter tool (Cheapest available) It did remove the stuck oil filer (Which I installed hand tight 2 months ago) It is finicky installing and does not like turning with a flex head ratchet that I had to use. It did not help there were two cables running in the same area. It is just with the rave reviews I expected slightly more.
